Chapter 14

*Raymond's p.o.v*

''Here comes the newly weds'', the crowd cheers as we walk into the auditorium. Rielle walks over to us and engulfs me in a hug. I hug her back.

''Welcome to the family, brother in-law'', she says offering me a smile.

''Thank you dear''

''Promise me you two won't do anything crazy tonight''

''Can't promise you that'', I say smirking at Vanessa and she nudges me.

Rielle sighs,''Oh Lord, you two are sex crazed''

Vanessa giggles and we walk hand-in-hand to the high table. Mrs. Miller walks over to us and hugs the both of us.

Looking over to Vanessa,''Oh dear, you look so beautiful today. My little girl is all grown up''

''I know mom'', Vanessa tells her beaming with smiles.

Mrs. Miller narrows her eyes at me,''Raymond, you better take care of my daughter''

''I promise''. She rubs my shoulder and walks back to her seat.

''It's time for the cake!'', Caleb announces. I shake my head seeing he's a little tipsy. Vanessa and I walk over to him and Petra hands us the knife. Everyone else looks over at us. Vanessa and I hold unto the knife and we begin to cut the cake.

''We bless this cake in the name of the father, and of the son, and of the holy spirit... Amen!'', Petra says as we cut the cake. I feed Vanessa with a piece of cake. Instead of her feeding me back, she smears my face with the cake

''Hey!'', I retaliate and everyone laughs at me.

''What? Can't handle a little cake on your face?''. She bursts into laughter. I furrow my eyebrows at her.

''I'm just kidding. You should have seen your face'',she continues to laugh and I giggle.
Cleaning my face with a napkin,''Verry funny''. I lean over to her and kiss her lips. I pull her closer to me deepening the kiss. She moans in my mouth and someone just had to ruin the moment.

''Yo guys, you know you're in public right?'', Caleb asks. I roll my eyes and Vanessa laughs.

''Guys, we wanna show you guys something'', he tells us.

''But before we go, I want you to have this'', Petra says to Vanessa as she opens a small box. She takes out a silver cloud necklace as puts it on Vanessa's neck.

''Thank you so much'', Vanessa says.

''Girl, this is just the beginning. Wait till you see the actual gift'', Caleb points out. We follow the two to the parking lott not sure why. Before I could ask what the gift was, someone covers both Vanessa and I's mouth with handkerchiefs. I smell alcohol infused in it. I try to fight my way out of his grip but I can't.

''Oh no you don't'', the guy says. Caleb turns around at the sound of the foreign voice and gasps.
''Oh God!''

''LET THEM GO!'', is the last thing I hear before I black out.

''WAKE THE FUCK UP!''. I hear someone yell feeling icy cold water being thrown on me. I jerk awake awake, trying to scream at how cold that shit was but my mouth is covered with duck tape. I look down at my arms and legs and then to Vanessa realizing that we're each tied to a chair.

''Good. You're awake''. I look up and see a blonde guy. He removes the duck tape from our lips.

''Ethan?!'', Vanessa blurts out.

''You know him?'', I ask.

''Of course. I'm Jay's best friend'', Ethan says to me.
Well, that makes sense, but why?

Kneeling in front of Vanessa,''You thought you could just throw him into prison and get away with it?''

''He deserves it for what he did'', Vanessa spits in his face.

''Bitch!''. Ethan slaps her.
''Don't you dare touch her man!'', I yell at him feeling irritated.

''Or what?''. He hits me with the pistol and Vanessa gasps. I taste blood as I realise I have a cut on my lip.

''Pathetic'', he laughs. I look away from him and study the place. It's warehouse full of barrels but I can't see the labels well.

''What the fuck do you want from us?'', Vanessa asks.

''Revenge''

''What's in the barrels?'', I ask.

''You'll find out tomorrow'', Ethan replies smirking at us.

''Can we have some water?'', Vanessa practically begs.

''Shut up whore! Enough with the questions. No water for you'', Ethan rebukes and walks out of the warehouse.
Oh I did not imagine my death like this.

I look over at Vanessa and tears slide down my cheeks. I see fear in her eyes and I hate that I can't do anything about it. My eyelids feel heavy and I doze off.
