"Milo, come on dude I haven't slept in 2 days," Malika consoled her son as he hysterically cried.

He'd been whining for hours now and she wasn't sure what to do about it.

His eyes were shut tight as the small tears continously flowed.

"What's wrong? I fed you, bathed you, burped you," her eyes started to water.

She was truly sleep deprived. Scheduling her classes for the next semester, trying to take care of a baby , while dealing with a husband in the NBA.

It was a lot to take on.

The season may have been over for a while, but the exhausting workouts and practices never stopped.

Checking his temperature once she finally found the thermometer behind his changing table, she quickly packed his bag noticing he was running a fever of 101°.

"It's okay baby, we're gonna be okay," She slipped her feet into her slides while throwing on a hat.

Her hair was a mess of frizzy dried out curls.

She hadn't had the time to take care of herself lately, her baby was more important.

Buckling him safely into his car seat, she tried to give him his pacifier, but sighed in defeat when he spit it right out.

Jumping into the driver's seat she drove to the ER while trying to call Mikey.

No answer. Once again.

There was a bit of a wait since there weren't any rooms or beds available in the hospital.

But after about 30 minutes of dirty looks and stares at the mom who couldn't get her baby to stop crying, Malika and Milo were finally called to the back.

After a number of tests and lots of picking and prodding at the baby, the doctors determined that he was suffering from colic.

They got him to stop crying but Malika was sure that it was only temporary.

He's gonna be okay right?"

"Yes he'll be fine,"

"Just remember everything that I told you. Yall are free to go but if you wanna wait it out just an extra 15 or 30 minutes just to be sure then that's completely fine,"
