The ground began to sink and we descended into the earth.

"What is this?" Percy asked and inclined his head forward, preparing himself for a slap to the head.

"The fanciest coffee shop on earth, or at least in Perímpeth." I whispered out the slogan, I had committed it to memory years ago. It wasn't hard but the memory was so strong in my mind it felt like he was right in front of me saying it.

"You're absolutely right, Annie." Every time she said my name, it was with such malice. She had a scowl that could freeze water.

"And now, lets see how well you know your way around here now," Kelli laughed and the floor stopped spinning.

I took a moment to look at the walls before a hole was pushed open. They were grimy and dirty and not at all as they had been when we built the place. I wasn't prepared to see him, I didn't think he would go to such lengths.

I could sense the look I was getting from Percy without looking. I shot him a look that I hoped for my point across. You'll find out in a minute.

He nodded and faced forward. This is my fault, he is my ex boyfriend. I'm the one who broke up with him. It was only one time, right? It's my fault, I shouldn't have broken up with him, he promised he would get better.

Walking through the pristine hallways, I could almost see the old childish paintings that were hung up there. The drawings of the blond boy holding hands with the blond girl. The ones a few years on that were more blueprints than drawings, stuck up like a child's work on a fridge.

The coffee shop had been my idea, I thought it would be easier to make money. I was young, I hadn't realised that he had kept the business going in the time we spent apart. When we reconnected, I never thought he would become my boyfriend. He was quite a few years older than me, but I didn't think that mattered.

The captors knocked on the door in what might have been a pattern but I couldn't tell.

"Come in." It wasn't his voice, a woman's. Did he sell the shop to someone else? I could almost feel the relief flushing through me. It wasn't anything to do with me, which led me to one more problem. Why did they take me?

The door opened and revealed two chairs behind a large oak desk, facing away like they do in the movies.

"Welcome, how do you like the new office, Annie." I grimaced and she turned around in her chair.

"I like the new chair," it pained me to compliment her but it was all I could do.

"So, Drew. How did you pay for this?" I tried to sound genuine, but it was extremely hard.

"I have my connections," she added "bring him in,"

I heard the door click open and footsteps bounced off the walls.

"Hello, Annie." I felt a tear drop down my face as I refused to look at his face. His scar and his eyes and his hair and just him. If I did, he would have power over me, and I wasn't going to give him that.

"Annabeth? Wise Girl?" I could hear Percy talking in the background but it didn't register in my brain. I felt like I was going to faint. The clock on the wall ticked to slow and my eyes blinked to fast. I saw his face line up with my vision before I saw nothing at all.
