Chapter 04

"Lia!" called Sorin, a son of Apollo, who was talking with them.

He hugged me, and I smiled up at him, pinching his cheeks a little when we broke the hug.

"Long time no see, it's good to see you" I saluted him with a smirk, he did the same "where is your sister? I haven't seen her as I was walking through the camp."

"She is in the armory getting some weapons, you know she's quite new to the fighting scene, she has always wanted to heal and nothing more, but you know, at least you need to learn the essentials" I nodded, understanding that she didn't wanted to be a warrior.

"If I don't see her, tell her I say hi, and hopefully we can see each other soon" I mentioned and he nodded.

"I surely will" he answered, I nod once.

"I need to go find her, to make sure nothing happens to her, you know how clumsy with weapons she could be" he added as he bid his goodbyes.

Haechan had his arm around another guy's shoulders, he seemed younger, way younger, yet still he looked somewhat mature.

"Venelia, this is little Jisung, son of Hebe" Haechan introduced me to the younger one "and Jisung, this is Venelia, daughter of Hades."

"Nice to meet you, I guess I know now the reason why they call you little" I greeted, as he is the son of the goddess of youth, he seems to look the youngest, although I have no doubts that he actually is, and clearly also, quite adorable.

He nodded as he scraped his neck, being a little shy.

"Is nice to meet you too, Venelia" he replied with a little smile.

"Just Lia, I like it better" I gave him a quick wink, making him slightly blush, quite adorable, isn't he?

As I imagined, they all knew each other, so there was no need for Haechan to introduce them.

We talked for a while, and as I was getting to know them, I realized that we clicked so good, it was a nice feeling, talking with some people, outside, free, it was a new feeling, but I really liked it. Jisung left some moments later, saying that a sibling of him needed something.

After some time that I spent with them, I realized it was getting a little dark, and I was truly hungry and somewhat tired, so I decided it was time to leave.

"So, it's getting a little dark and I know that maybe I have something important tomorrow, so maybe I should go eat and then rest" I expressed, as I was actually planning to leave tomorrow to get the person I was hoping to get here, the one who helped me in my mission and also the one who's entrance through the barrier was a mystery.

"What are you doing tomorrow?" asked Mark curiously.

"When I came back today, I told Chiron that someone else had helped me escape, and that I had taken him to a safe place for now, I am not sure if he is a demigod and can pass the barrier with normality, but I need to go get him either way, he has my scent, and it will be easier for monsters to get him" I told them.

"I want to go" Mark stated.

"No, it's okay, I don't want to put any of you at risk, I will ask Mr. D. if I can go tomorrow, but I am almost sure that he will not care too much, as he is always complaining about us" I assured them.

"For real, I want to go" repeated Mark "and I'm guessing Haechan wants to go too."

Haechan nodded.

"You need to go to the infirmary first, you haven't been there yet, and we don't know what kind of wounds you may have" Haechan protested "for Zeus, how could I've been so careless, we need to inspect you, also yes, you have to eat, how long have you been not eating properly? Probably a long time."

"Yeah, let's go" agreed Mark, as he now was a little concerned after what Haechan said, I could tell.

"I truly am fine, if Chiron didn't send me there when I got here must be because he saw I was fine" I responded.

"Maybe you look fine on the outside, but you might have something else, I know you are not in the best condition, however, if you're just fine as you said, they will let you out in no time" Haechan's words were convincing, and I was not in the mood to fight, I just nodded, starting to walk with them to the infirmary, where the children of Apollo stayed most of their time.

"You truly can be so annoying" at my words Haechan laughed, and Mark smirked, I hope he realizes that if he was going to be with us often, this was going to be our daily treatment towards each other.

"You love me this way, don't even try to deny it."

I rolled my eyes with a smile, and kept walking.

The infirmary was not full, there were no challenges going on, nor it was a capture the flag kind of day, so I was there ready to be checked by a healer.

"Taeil" I called my friends' name when I saw him coming by.

"Lia, I wasn't aware you were here" he remarked with a small smile, saluting the other two boys who were with me and sat down next to me.

"Probably because you are always here in the infirmary" I affirmed looking his way "I rarely saw you around back then, and I doubt anything has changed."

"Well, is not an easy task to be the leader of the cabin, and also the head healer" I nodded, he was checking my pulse and breathing as he speaks "is not something that I can take lightly."

"Yeah, you're old" I mocked him, making Haechan laugh, Taeil pushed my side, making me flinch.

"What does that have to do with anything?" he asked, as he paid more attention to the side that made me flinch, as he figured it was more than a simple reflex move.

"You are way to responsible, you are like a dad, that's why being here 24/7 is the only thing you can think about" I answered "and that makes you seem older.

"Come on, stop it, I am not like that... well, yes, I am like that" he confessed quickly and I laughed, he even knew how things were "I am going to lift your shirt up a little, if you don't mind."

I nodded my head no, as I actually didn't mind, it was a medical revision, he was trying to help, I also decided to helped him.

"Are you going to have dinner now?" I asked trying to start up a conversation, but it wasn't working as Taeil was so focused on checking me, he was oblivious of my words.

I looked at Haechan and Mark, who were looking curiously at all the medical instruments that were near us, avoiding at all cost looking at me as I might feel uncomfortable in the position that I am.

"I think your ribs are not in the best condition" as soon as those words left Taeil's mouth, Haechan looked towards me as quick as he could, almost cracking his neck in the process.

"See? I told you to come here, you are not fine" he placed his hands on his head, as if he was desperate, also he seemed worried.

"I am fine, tell them Taeil" I told him opening my eyes, hoping he would get the indirect.

"You are not in a terrible state, but you should be careful to not make it worse is my advice, just try not to expose yourself into stressful situations than can tense your muscles and also try not to make abrupt movements, but not more, you look good overall" he stated as his eyes met mine, as if he was asking if his words of choice were nice, I nodded slightly.

"See, I look good overall."

"Yeah, but what about the ribs, you ain't going alone on the rescue of your friend" Haechan was being stubborn "that's why Mark and I will go with you."
