Mark's leg was not in a good condition, not good enough to make him go out there, so we all decided it was better for him to stay and rest a little, and even though he wasn't really happy about it, it was said and done, we can't afford to risk him in the state he is right now.

Haechan and Mark were not really on speaking terms, but they needed to realize that this wasn't some kind of rivalry for whatever they were angry about with each other, which I guessed it was about the situation of the other day, this was a quest, someone is in danger and something could happen anytime anywhere, there was no time for dumb fights.

"We will be back in a couple of hours" I told Mark "stay here and if there's an emergency, crush the crystal, it will take you to the camp and Chiron will contact us, explaining that you returned."

He nodded, Haechan got out of the room, not saying anything to the son of Ares, who was still in the bed, trying to recover.

"What can I do in the meantime?" he asked me.

"There's a copy of the map, you could check the best routs to go back to camp if anything happens, it would be useful as we don't want to encounter anyone who can cause any damage."

"I feel useless" he commented as he tried to stand up, but it wasn't a nice idea, as he almost fell to the ground.

"You will be better by tomorrow, we heal way faster than normal people, look, my neck from that time is fine, and the gashes from the glass last night are almost not visible, calm down, tomorrow will be another day and I am sure you will be better to finish this quest with us."

My words apparently calmed him down a little as he nodded and laid down again on the bed.

"Lia!" Haechan's voice was heard.

"I need to go, see you soon."

He nodded as he gave me a small smile.

"Take care."

"You too" I finished and I went outside, where Haechan was waiting for me "don't forget to eat some of the ambrosia and nectar, it will help you heal even faster."

[...]

We had walked for a long piece of the day, but we haven't reached the place we needed to be at, I didn't realize it was that far, maybe because I was riding my horse it seemed like it wasn't such a long journey, but now that we were walking by foot I realized how far it actually was.

"The sun is coming down again, I feel like time is truly not on our side" I told him.

"Yeah, I feel like we are going almost in circles."

"But I know we aren't, we are getting close, although we don't have too much time to spare" I stated, unsure if the time that we were given to complete the quest was going to be enough as every time we tried to do something or go somewhere, something seemed to always pop up, and try to make our journey even more complex.

"How much more do we have to walk?"

I looked at the other map we had, and realized that we were closer than I expected, which made me smile as I realized that soon I will find him.

"Not long."

I started running, I wanted to have some sunlight when I got there, it will make things easier, he followed behind as we both sped up the pace, it was almost nighttime, and I just hoped that all our efforts are sufficient.

"There" I signaled a place with my finger, it was the same as not much time has passed, an abandoned building, it was covered in plants and musk as time has passed, the walls were covered by ivy as it tangled all the way to the top.

It was a really tall building; I could tell it was almost forty floors, or even more.

"Which floor?"

"I don't remember well; I guess we will have to search per each floor to find him, I also suppose he changes floors every now and then, I know he won't be staying at the same place forever, but he won't leave the building, and that is good."

He sighed, knowing that it would be difficult as the sun was coming down and the only source of light was on the top of the building, where it seemed that a lamp was still working, we could see that from the distance.

We searched in every floor, every space and even under some debris, but we haven't founded him yet.

"Any luck?" I asked as we kept encountering each other as we went up the stairs.

"Not yet."

"Alright, let's keep it moving, this place at night can be a little dangerous as all the debris could be the home for some animals we don't really want to encounter" he nodded at my statement, and I let out another sigh.

I took a look at my clock, 47 hours left, less than two days, we still had some time, but I was sure if we found him it wasn't going to be that easy.

The atmosphere was still, silent, as the only thing that we could hear were our footsteps, but it was all broken when something made a clashing sound, it seemed like it came from one of the last floors, as the eco made its way down for a couple of seconds.

Haechan looked at me, I nodded signaling that the sound could probably come from him.

Both of us started running up the stairs as fast as we could, controlling our breathing to ensure that we wouldn't frazzle in this moment, as it was crucial for us to reach the last floor with as much energy as we could.

I cursed mentally knowing that there were lots of floors left until we could reach the top ones, and we were starting to see less due to the lack of illumination, I guess this quest is making us accustomed to darkness, as every time that there's something substantially important going on, it seems that the dark embraces us, instead of light.

I wondered if it had something to do with me being the daughter of Hades.

"Jump!" I yelled at him as we almost fell in a hole that was in the middle of the stairway.

Not a single sound came from the top floor again, but we still made our way to it, as we both were sure that something was happening there, and that it was almost impossible for a simple rat or any other small animal to make that kind of noise.

"Almost there" I assured as we reached the top floor, where I sensed the sound came from.

I tried opening the door, but as I pushed, it didn't open, it was locked, and no matter how many times I twisted the door knob, it wasn't giving up.
