"Are you sure you don't mind?" I asked Will for the millionth time as he opened the door to his own apartment, only a few streets over from Esther's apartment.
"I told you already, it's fine. I talked to my roommate, Greg, and he says it's totally cool," Will promised. I was so thankful to him. We owed him big time. See, we would have stayed with Esther, but she had a one bedroom apartment so we would have been sleeping on the floor. Will, however, had a two bedroom apartment that he shared with his roommate Greg, so they could sleep together and Bria and I could sleep together.
Bria wheeled her suitcases into Will's living room and let out a huge yawn. Will chuckled. "Yeah, you two must be pooped. Just head down this hallway, Greg's room is the first door on the left. You can take over the room."
"Thank you, Will. You are the best," Bria sighed happily and wrapped him in a quick hug before following his directions to Greg's room. I only had the energy to wave half-heartedly in Will's direction before following after Bria.
The second we stepped into the room, Greg jumped up from where he was sitting on his bed.
"Uh, hi," he muttered. I did a quick 10 second analysis on him. He seemed shy, but still cute. Greg had brown curls that framed his brown eyes. Honestly, he wasn't bad looking. The thought of maybe going on a double date with him alongside Bria and Will...Let's just say that made the memories of Eric fade a bit more.
"Hi, Greg." I smiled. "I'm Cassidy. Sorry that we're kicking you out of your room."
"Nah, it's cool." Greg waved his hand through the air. "It's too bad you couldn't get a room at the hotel."
Bria sent a strained smile in his direction, and by her slightly bloodshot eyes I could see that she was very tired. I'm sure I wasn't looking much better than her; I definitely didn't feel any better.
Greg seemed to be picking up on the fact that Bria and I weren't exactly in the mood for conversation, because he nodded his head awkwardly a few times before slowly making his way to the door. "Well... I guess I'll see you girls in the morning."
"Yeah," I yawned. "See you then."
With one final nod in my direction, Greg finally disappeared through the door.
"Finally," I sighed happily and jumped onto Greg's now-empty bed.
"Hey," Bria grumbled, rubbing her eyes sleepily. "Why do I have to sleep on the floor?"
"If it bothers you that much, come crawl in with me." I patted the open space next to me on the bed. Bria ditched the sleeping bag Greg or Will had spread haphazardly over the floor and climbed onto the bed.
The second my eyes closed, I was drifting away into a deep sleep.

I wish I could say that I slept for 24 hours, or that I was at least woken up by the sound of birds chirping and squirrels singing, or whatever usually happens in movies. But, that was not meant to be. Instead, I was startled awake by the irritating whining of the fire alarm and the sounds of two British teenagers shouting some choice language.
"Bloody hell, Greg, what did you do?"
My irritated frown was pulled into a smile at Will's words. Quietly, I shifted the blankets to the side so that I could climb out of bed without waking up Bria. Seriously, that girl would sleep through an earthquake.
I shuffled towards the adjoined bathroom, pausing only to grab my suitcase from the floor. My blurry vision couldn't locate the light switch, so I had to feel up the wall to shed some light on the subject. When I finally managed to turn the light on, my sensitive eyes had to blink rapidly before I could focus on my reflection.
