"It's getting pretty late, we should probably start heading home now," said Uncle E. Yep. That's gonna be his new nickname from now on.
"Awwww." Cody and Frankie both whined in unison. "We'll be back tomorrow since well first and foremost, we need to help Talia settle in with the Burnses until we can fix up a room back at the laboratory for her. Second, I have to test out the new holograms with Graham and Bou- er I mean with Graham and Brad. Yeah." He said looking at me and then he let out a nervous chuckle.
"Who's Brad?" I asked looking at Graham with a confused look. "Oh, he's just a rescue uh r-recruit ... on ... t-the mainland." He stuttered. 'Uh-huh. Righhhht.' I thought as I got off the bulldozer's treads.
"C'mon Talia, let's go to your room to see what things you need for your stay real quick." Dani suddenly said quickly jumping off of the firetruck. She grabbed my arm and almost practically dragged me to the elevator. "Bye cuz, see you tomorrow." Frankie said waving goodbye as the elevator door began closing.
"Bye!!" I replied right before the doors closed shut.
*Graham's POV*
As Dani and Talia left, I sighed in relief and said "That was a close one." 'Did my stuttering make it suspicious? I really hope not.'
"Ha. You think THAT was close, I accidentally said Heatwave's name in front of her and I just told her he was one of dad's friends." Cody said trying to make me feel better.
"Didn't she get a little suspicious? His name doesn't sound like a human name at all." I replied.
"Not really. I guess because we were talking about how both of them look grumpy. Uh- no offense Heatwave." Cody said looking at him.
"None taken." Heatwave answered.
"Let's just try to be more cautious of what we say around her, ok?" Chief said pinching the bridge of his nose.
"Indeed, but now she's expecting someone named 'Brad' to come and visit us tomorrow." Dr. Greene stated.
"We can always just tell her that he couldn't come." Blades said shrugging.
"True but how about Graham and Doc test Boulder's holoform tomorrow early in the morning and see if it works. If it does then y'all can use it to make Boulder be 'Brad'. Just to make it less sus." Kade said.
"That's ... actually not a bad idea." Frankie said rubbing her thumb and index finger on her chin.
"Coming from Kade." Heatwave replied smirking at him. Kade rolled his eyes.
*Talia's POV*
"Alright, so we'll go shopping tomorrow if we're not to busy and I'll see about getting you a new phone. Ok?" Dani said heading out my room.
"Yea, ok. But you really don't have to bother about getting me a new phone though. I'll look for a job, accumulate the money for it, and buy it myself whenever I can." I told her.
"It's fine. Don't worry about it, that's what friends are for,mk?" She said putting her arms on my shoulders.
"Thanks, I really appreciate it. I everything your family I doing to help me out."
"It's what we all do here in Griffon Rock." She said winking. She then gave me a quick hug, told me to rest up and to remember to be careful with my hand before closing the door.
'What would've happen to me if I never met y'all?' I smiled knowing that this could be a new beginning for me.
