Zak has just come back happy as can be the show that his friend Nick Groff and him have put together is finally being picked up as a show on the Travel Channel.  As Zak pulls up to his condo he notices a basket next to his door.  Zak walks up and sees a newborn baby in the basket with a note that just says: SHE'S YOURS I DON'T WANT HER.   "Oh my god" Zak muttered as the baby girl held his ring finger.

Zak picks up the basket and brings it inside.  Confused and in shock he calls the only person he knows that can help him: his mother.  When she comes in she sees her son walking around with the child.  "Hey mom".  She takes off her coat and takes the child from her son.  "Oh my god Zak where did she come from?" she asked.  "She was left on my door step mom with just a note" showing it to his mother.

"She is yours Zak I can tell" she replied.  "How mom?".  "Her eyes there's a genetic trait that seems to only happen to the females of the Bagans family they're born with purple eyes as least what your father tells me" as Zak chuckled.  Then the child started to cry.  "Here Zak hold your daughter" as she goes into the bag to get the formula and bottle.

"Mom, I can't be a father to this child" Zak stated.  "What do you mean you will Zakary I'll make sure of that" she remarked as Zak's mother looked ready to breath fire. "That show I told you about a channel wants us to film a season.  I can't raise a child I'm going to be on the road so much that's no way for a child to grow up" Zak explained.

"All right Zak I can understand how you feel about this I'll take care of your daughter but you will be a father to this child" his mother stated.  "I swear I will mom".  "If not Zakary I will be very disappointed in you and I know your father will too,"she replied as they sat down.

She gave the bottle to Zak and showed him how to feed the baby.  "Does she have a name?" as she ran her fingers through her auburn hair.  "No not even a birth certificate" Zak replied.  "So what are you going to name your daughter Zak?".  Zak looked into her purple eyes as a name came to mind.  "Lori Annabelle" Zak stated with a smile.  "Tomorrow we'll go down to the court house and get Lori a birth certificate".

A few years went by and Zak kept his word to his mother whenever he came home from an investigation his mother gave him time to withdrawal from investigating than he would come over to see his daughter.  One day he knocked on the door and a beautiful five year old open the door.  "Daddy" she said with a smile as Zak picked her up and spun her around.  "I think you grew a couple inches since I last saw you" as he kissed her.

"Grammy daddy's here" she called out.  "I have something for you" and gave Lori a doll.  "Thank you daddy" Lori remarked giving him a kiss as his mother came out.  "Why don't you put your new doll upstairs and we'll have some lunch".  Lori ran upstairs as Zak and his mom sat down.  "So how you doing?".  "Good" he replied rubbing his eyes.  "Zak what's wrong?".  "We went back to Bobby Makey's music world and near the end the Bishop had to conducted an exorcism"he replied.  "On who Nick Aaron".

"No me"he replied.  "Oh my god Zak are you all right?".  "Yeah I don't remember much of it and I hope to the lord upstairs I never do" Zak replied. Lori came down and looked at them.  "You all right daddy".  "I'm fine sweetie just a little tired daddy's working hard for you" walking over to her.  "Why can't I live with you.  Why do I have to stay with Grammy" she asked.  Zak got down to her level.

"Because I'm away a lot for my job and what I do you're too young to understand but Grammy and I have an understanding  that when you're older and better understand dad's work we'll make some changes but I want you to know I love you very much and I'm always here if you need me" Zak stated.  "Promise" Lori asked holding out her pinkie.  Zak pinkie promised her and gave her a hug.  "Come on let's have some lunch".  Zak picked her up and put her on his shoulders as his mother laughed.
