SURPRISE SURPRISE

"This place is mysterious" Zak remarked looking at the old hotel they were going to investigate.  "They say that a person died from jumping off the roof of this place.  There was a hanging in one of the rooms too"Aaron stated.  "If you say there's another suicide in this place I'm throwing you off the roof" Nick replied as Aaron chuckled.  They were about to start filming when Zak's phone went off.  "I thought you had that thing on vibrate" Aaron stated. 

"Me too" as he took it out of his pocket.  "Hello yes this is him-what is she all right what happened yes I'll be there as soon as I can" and hung up as Zak's heart was pounding hard which Nick could tell so he put his camera down as Zak started to pace. "Aaron why don't you get Zak some water".  "All right" and left. "What's wrong Zak?"Nick asked. 

"Lori she was on a school field trip when the bus was hit by a semi at full speed.  Lori got trapped in the bus-she-needs surgery-oh god"Zak remarked as Nick sat him down as he started to think the worse.  "What's going on?" Aaron asked as he gave Zak water.  "His mother was involved in an accident with a semi" as tears started to fall from Zak's face.  The producer came over and told Zak that he had a private plane waiting to take him anywhere.  Zak got up but Nick knew he couldn't handle this on his own. 

"Aaron I'm going with Zak I'll call when I have info" Nick said.  Aaron agreed as Nick and Zak ran to the car that was going to take them to the airport.  "Oh god what if she dies and I'm not there" Zak wondered.  "Zak don't go there Lori will be all right" Nick assured him. 

Zak started to cry as Nick try to support his friend.  When they got to the hospital Zak ran to the nurse.  "I'm Zakary Bagans my daughter Lori was on the bus that was smashed by semi.  Where is she?" he asked trying his hardest not to have a panic attack.  "Just take a breath Mr. Bagans she's in surgery for a compound fracture of the leg, internal bleeding and some bleeding on the brain".

"Brain surgery oh god!!".  Zak couldn't hold it and fell to the floor as he felt like his lungs were failing him.  "I need a doctor!!"the nurse yelled.  "Zak relax" but Zak couldn't as everything started to go fussy.  "ZAK!!!".  When Zak woke up he was in a hospital bed hooked up to a heart monitor with a nasal canal. As he looked around Zak remembered why he was there.  Zak was ready to get out of bed when Nick came out of the bathroom.   "Hey hey relax Zak" Nick said jogging over. 

"Lori how-".  "She's fine Zak everything went well Lori's upstairs in the ICU sleeping when she woke up Lori was wondering where you were I had to tell her what happened.  She was ready to get out of bed just to see if you were all right" as Zak snickered.  "What happened to me?" Zak asked.  "You had a panic attack your heart was pumping so fast you lost consciousness they had to shock your heart back to normal" Nick replied.  "What about the show?". 

"They said take all the time you need"Nick remarked as Zak blew a sigh of relief.  "Nick I have to see Lori or I'm going to bolt out of this bed!" Zak ordered . "Settle down there I'll talk to the nurse and see if I can bring you up in a wheelchair.  Now stay here or I'm going to tie you to the bed" Nick replied as Zak chuckled. 

Upstairs Lori was in her own room as Nick brought Zak into the room in a wheelchair.  Zak took her hand as she woke up.  "Dad" she said weakly. "Hey how you feeling?" Zak asked.  "Sore it just happened so quick dad I had no time to react" she remarked tearing up . "I know but you're going to be all right and when we get home I'll make sure you have the best physical therapist there is in Nevada" as Lori laughed. 

"Ouch don't make me laugh dad it hurts" as Zak smiled. "I'm going to take your dad back to his room so you can rest and tie him to his bed so he doesn't come up here at night" Nick stated as Zak rolled his eyes.  "You may want to try handcuffing him to the bed Uncle Nick" she joked.  "Very funny you two" as they left.
