After the funeral Zak was talking to a few people when Dakota came over. "I'm going to take Lori back to the hotel Zak she's exhausted" Dakota said. "Sure" and they left as Zak felt a tap on his shoulder. He turned around and saw an old friend of his. "Hey Zak"she remarked. "Katie what are you doing here I thought you were in California from what my mom told me" giving her a hug. "An old friend of mine called me about your father I'm so sorry to hear of his passing" she replied.

"Thanks"he stated. "I heard you have a daughter". "Her boyfriend brought her back to the hotel"Zak replied. "Wow he must be on his toes not to get on your bad side" as Zak chuckled. "Well he works with me but I also trust Lori"Zak stated. "Zak do you think we could talk in private?". "Sure" and they went outside. "So what do you want to talk to me about". "Do you remember the last time we were together?".

"Of course I thought your father was going circumcise me with that knife he had in his hand when he found us in bed that night". "My father never liked you Zak he thought you were no good for me"Katie remarked. "Really I never knew" as Katie laughed. "Well after we broke up I found out I was pregnant and I knew that if my father found out you were the father he would make me get rid of it. My mother to save me and my child she sent me away but I had to give up the baby when he or she was born. I didn't want to but I had to".  "What are you telling me I have another child that was adopted?". 

"That was the plan at first but I couldn't do it but I knew who the child's father was by her eyes so I got a basket put her in it and left her on his doorstep with a note that just said: SHE'S YOURS. I DON'T WANT HER" as tears fell down her face. Zak nearly fell to the ground . "You gave birth to Lori". "Yes and from what I've heard you did a great job with her. Look Zak I don't want Lori to know the real reason I gave her up even if my father wasn't a jerk I couldn't of been a mother to Lori so don't tell her about me".

"Did your father ever find out about Lori?". "After I had her I never returned to that house" she replied.  "Do you want to meet Lori I promise I won't tell her you're her mother?". "No I can't do that Zak I just thought you should know" as she wiped the tears from her face.  "Here at least take a look at a picture of her" Zak stated taking a picture of her out of his wallet. She took a look of her. "She's beautiful Zak do you mind if I keep this" Katie stated.

"Go ahead and if you ever change your mind give me a call". "Thanks Zak" and walked off as his mother walked over.  "Was that Katie Lumber?". "Yea she just told me she's Lori's mother" Zak replied. "Doesn't she want to meet her daughter". "She didn't want to but I gave her a picture of her and told Katie if she ever wanted to meet Lori just call me"Zak remarked. "I wonder why?". "I could feel a lot of guilt in her I guess she hasn't forgiving herself for giving Lori up"Zak replied as he watched her leave.

At the hotel Dakota was working on his computer when Zak came in. "You didn't need to stay". "I stayed just incase but since you're here I'm going to my room"he stated. "Dakota you know I didn't mean what I said when you and Lori started to date it was just the father in me" Zak remarked. "Believe or not Zak I understood why you said that she's your only child. That's why I'm treating Lori with the respect you give the guys and me".

"Thanks Dakota" he stated and Dakota left. Zak went into the bedroom and saw Lori asleep. He walked over to her and gave her a kiss. Zak went to his room and laid down. In his dream he was walking through a hospital. "Come on Lori you can do it just one more push". Zak followed the sound and saw a woman giving birth to a baby boy. "He's here Zak's here".

The father looked up and it was Dakota. "Baby 'b' coming down come on mom" the doctor said. "Come on Lori you can do it". "Congrats your daughter is here" the doctor replied. "Hi there Nancy" as Dakota cut the cord. "I have to know where do you come up with those names?" the doctor asked. "Zak is her father's name he passed away before we could tell him about the babies" Dakota replied. "And Nancy was my grandmother's name she helped my dad raise me until he was ready to raise me on his own" she added.

"You did great sweetie I'm going to tell the rest of the gang that they're here" and Dakota left. "How long have you and your husband been married" the doctor asked. "Two years my father had a feeling we would end up together he couldn't stop tearing up as he walked me down the aisle" Lori replied. "Well we're going to clean up these babies for their first visit" and the nurses took them away. Zak walked in and sat in front of Lori.

"I feel you here dad I hope you got to see your grandson and granddaughter come into this world. I miss you dad so much that's why we named the boy after you. I hope you're doing some investigating with Uncle Aaron up there. I've kept in touch with Billy and Jay.  I love being a paranormalist with Dakota I just wish my children could of met their grandfather" as tears fell down her face.

Zak got up and gave her a kiss on his check. I'll always be near he whispered. Zak woke up and smelled pizza. He got up and saw Lori opening the box. "I just about to wake you dad" she replied. "Lori if you still want to be a paranormal investigator I won't stand in your way". "Thanks dad I was just about to watch some television while eating our favorite pizza". "Everyone thought I was nuts to order this they use to tell me they should sell antacid tablets with this pizza" Zak remarked.

"Yea Uncle Aaron told me come on" and they went in to watch television together. "Have I told you lately that you were the best surprise I have ever gotten" Zak inquired. "Oh dad I love you to death and back" she stated as she kissed him. They both sat back and watched television together.
