To say Taehyung had been moping around like a kid who got scolded for almost a whole week would be an understatement. The usual workers all eyed each other in confusion. SeoJun had basically stood there next to Taehyung, not having any orders from him because Taehyung had been so into his own thoughts that he barely ever needed or wanted the boy to do anything. He basically just took photos of the models, hastily ordered them to stand a certain way and shooed them away afterwards. It was a process. Simple.
He wasn't necessarily being an asshole like he used to. Hell, he was more of an asshole to himself the whole time, cursing himself to snap out of his trance and groaning at himself when a picture came out wrong. The way that his camera wasn't being used on Yoongi was pissing him off.
It's not the same.
With Yoongi, it came much more natural than the models who were force smiling up on the set they're at. Yoongi would just be laughing at something, probably something dumb that Taehyung had done, but Taehyung would take any moment to snap a photo of that gummy smile. It hadn't taken long for Taehyung to get used to Yoongi's pretty smile.
The models weren't Yoongi. They didn't have the same glow in their eyes. They didn't look as happy and they weren't smiling because of something that made them happy.
"Can you move to the left a little, darling?" Taehyung's attitude was slightly alarming, the model looking terrified as she did as she was told. "I don't mean to be a dick—" Taehyung frowned as people around the set raised their eyebrows, obviously used to Taehyung being an ass, but not used to him admitting it. "Just— Just smile for the camera." He sighed as he put his camera to his eye.
"Sir," SeoJun was tapping at Taehyung's shoulder. Taehyung barely even glanced away from his camera to look up at him from his seat. "Your phone—"
He nearly threw his camera off of its strap as he held his hand out to SeoJun. "Give it." He gave the poor boy barely any time to even hold it out. His hand was already grabbing at it. The caller ID was what he was looking forward to seeing. It was his mother. He sighed as he answered his phone, and pursed his lips as his mom complained about how Taehyung never goes to see his family.
Now was not the time. And that wasn't who he wanted to call him, even if the time had been right.
"I'll see you during the holidays." He promised, finally getting to say his goodbyes to her on the phone. It didn't take long before he was throwing his phone onto the table next to him and getting back to business with the impatient model.
The day went on slowly. Taehyung didn't remember much besides sitting in the same spot after the photoshoot was over. No workers tried to talk to him. Not like he would've talked back, anyways. Not like he needed the company or anything. That's what his friend is for. His one friend.
SeoJun was paid to pay attention to Taehyung all of the time, so his presence wasn't as needed as any other. He didn't want his assistant. And he didn't want to talk to his friend. He barely wants to talk at all. There's nothing to really talk about, anyways. All he has to do is forget and move on. It seems like he keeps forgetting to forget, though. His memories kept poking at his mind and teasing him. The thought of Yoongi..
"Sir!" SeoJun snapped Taehyung out of his thoughts for what felt like the hundreth time today. It sort of pissed him off— the way SeoJun snapped at him. Taehyung wasn't paid to put up with this shit, but he suddenly didn't give a shit. Not when SeoJun was holding up Taehyung's phone to his face. The savior of all times.
Taehyung gasped at his lit up screen that was shoved in his face, causing some glances his way. He snatched the phone from SeoJun.
Min Yoongi.
