Day 5: Hat's Off to You! (Toon Link x Hat Kid)

Day 5: Hat Shop

So uh

I saw someone ship it in a forum somewhere, so kudos to them for making me ship it as well :p

Also, this is gonna be set in the Smash Bros universe (Don't ask why)

Anyways, enjoy

   It's a wonderful day in the Smash Universe, where various videogame characters all live in harmony. These characters fight, interact, and make relationships with one another. It's a place where everyone is happy. (Sounds cliche but whatever)

Zelda walked along the alleyways of the Plaza along with Ness, Lucas, Toon Link, Villager, and Hat Kid. She was babysitting the four for the day after a chaotic accident that happened a day ago. Since she also had to get some things from a shop, the kids wanted to come with her, so here we are.

The boys chatted as they walked with Hat Kid following behind. Now as everyone knows, she isn't a fighter in the games at all. But the thing is, she just showed up to the universe one day, but her and some of the fighters get along well. 

The six of them were having a nice walk until suddenly Hat Kid noticed something that caught her eye. A purple shop with amazing looking hats behind the glass, with a sign that read, "Hats in Time" (ahahahahaha) above the shop. She got excited, so she tugged on Toon Link's hat.

"Hey! What was that for?!" he yelped, as he and the other three turned around. Hat Kid pointed at the shop, meaning she wanted to see what's inside. "...the hat shop?" he said in confusion. "I mean she is Hat Kid after all, maybe she just wants to take a look," Lucas piped in. "Well, how about we go in? I want to see what's inside!" Ness suggested. Everyone agreed to the decision and left Zelda without her even noticing.

The kids made their way inside, and what stood before them was magnificent. A small chandelier hung above the ceiling, lighting up the room filled with all sorts of hats. Behind the front desk stood a tall lanky man with bangs that covered his eyes. 

He noticed the children that entered the room and said, "Goodness, where are your parents' young ones?" But the children ignored him and looked around the room. Hat Kid, however, walked up to the front desk like a well-behaved child. The man sighed, "Well, I guess I should wait for your parents to come to get you guys. In the meantime, you guys can explore I guess..." 

Hat Kid then noticed the name tag on him and pointed at it, wanting to know his name. He noticed what she's doing and said, "Oh right, if you guys need anything you can call me. My name is Stan Rech, by the way." The girl smiled at Stan and went back to the others to explore.

(A/N: Ahahahahahaha)

Everything was amazing! The hats in the shop were like nothing the kids have ever seen before! The children were all running around, trying on every hat in the shop. Of course, Stan had to watch over them in case they broke somethings.  Villager tried on a hat that looked like a humongous umbrella. Ness and Lucas wore hats that look like plates of breakfast, and heck, there was even a hat that looked like music sheets slapped onto someone's head! 

They all laughed and had fun. One moment Toon Link put on a top hat and did that gesture when a guy tips their hat to someone; he did that to Hat KId, and to the other kids it just looked like they were flirting. 

What? It's a one-shot.

A Little While Later...

Zelda barged in into the shop with a panicked expression on her face. "OH MY GOD IM SO SORRY I-" she started saying out loud, but the kids were doing fine. "Excuse me miss, are these your children?" Stan asked. "O-oh, no! I'm just looking after them is all, sorry for being too loud," the blonde girl apologized. The man sorta blushed a bit, but laughed it off a bit and said, "No it's okay, they thankfully didn't cause a ruckus." "Oh thank goodness," Zelda sighed in relief as she turned towards the kids.

The four kids all grinned sheepishly except for Villager. "Hehe, sorry for leaving you..." Ness chuckled nervously. The princess sighed in disappointment and said, "It's fine, just ask me next time." Zelda got the five out the door, but before that, she turned to Stan and said, "Thank you for watching them, they must've caused some trouble for you." "You're welcome, miss!" the man replied, with the group leaving the shop.

As the six walked home, the kids talked about the fun they had. It was certainly a nice time, and they might even come back. No wonder Hat Kid liked that shop. Speaking of which, they calmly went back to wherever they lived, so they had to part ways.

"Thanks for that visit, Hat Kid. Maybe we'll see each other soon," Toon Link said as he and the girl hugged. She nodded back as she walked back to her spaceship. 

Well I said it many times, and I'll say it again. They had a good time, and they're probably destined for more.

Also, this is dedicated to my friend who I unintentionally spoiled a secret ship in this oneshot

Halfway through the oneshot I was like, 'shticks they would make a good pairing,' and now I ship it. sort of.

anyways, look forward for more oneshots next week, I wont be doing them on weekends since my parents would be onto me :')
