Day 4: Book Shop

Oh yeah, enjoy

It was a cool autumn afternoon as Denki walked through the streets of his hometown. A nice time to relax, but where is he going exactly? Well, what you might not know is that he actually likes watching anime. A particular anime called 'Heroes' Academy'. That anime focuses on a boy's quest to become a hero, meeting new friends and foes along the way (sounds familiar?). When Denki found out there was a manga version of the series, he decided to check it out to see if it really lives up to the anime's potential.
He entered a local book shop, a place where many people visit to read books, hang out, and even eat when hungry. Yep, this place has a mini-cafe.
There was also a second floor that he got up to where he could find the manga he's been looking for. He just had to get the book and see if it's good or not.
Hm... now where are you- Oh, found ya! Denki thought as he roamed the many halls of bookshelves. Finally, he found the first volume of the manga! Now he could go read the manga as he'd munch on some of the treats they had in the mini-cafe.
As he hummed happily while he was going to exit the second floor, he spotted a familiar friend sitting near the window. Bookshelves were aligned near the window, so it would be hard to see who was there. Jirou? What's she doing here? Denki thought in confusion. The purple-haired girl used her quirk to listen to music on her phone, sitting peacefully near the window.
Getting a glimpse of what she's reading, the boy was surprised to see it was the same book he had as well! He wanted to know why she's here, and why she was reading that book. So he approached her as she was reading.
"Hey, what're you doing here?" Denki asked with a dorky smile. Jirou noticed and stopped what she was doing and answered. "Just readin' some manga, that's all. Why are you here?" The boy was gonna explain about the manga until she saw the same book that he had in his hands. "Wait, is that Heroes' Academy? Why do you have that book?" she asked.
"Well I was just going to check out the manga until I saw you sitting here. " Denki answered, "Do you watch the anime too?" She got a bit excited and said, "Yeah, I watched all the episodes, really nice story by the way. I heard there was a manga version of the series and I knew I had to check it out!" "Same here! I was just about to head to the cafe to read it, wanna come?" He offered. But Jirou shook her head in denial and said, "Nah, I'd rather be here. I like the view from up here."
She went back to reading as Denki walked towards the window where she sat and looked at the view. And it was a marvelous view, to say the least. It showed the town almost covered in orange autumn leaves as some flew like the wind over the city. Wow, it's... actually breathtaking. The boy gasped softly. He glanced over at Jirou peacefully reading her book, and he decided that snacks could wait.
"Hey, mind if I stay here for a bit?" He then asked as he sat down near the window. "Sure, I could use the company," the girl said casually, without looking up from her book. The two sat in silence as they read their books, kinda comfortable and awkward for the both of them.
It was all quiet until Jirou struck up a conversation about the series. "So do you think Gurin is going to turn to the dark side?" she asked. Denki was shocked by her question and answered back with, "No, why would he?! He's literally so close to being a hero!" "Well, the villains almost manipulated him into joining them, and he's had a rough life dealing with his rivals." Jirou countered. The two argued (but not aggressively) about everything that they both think would happen in the series, from the hero turning bad to one of the characters dying, but in the end, they both enjoyed each others company.
They both went home, but they promised each other they would continue the next day.
And also they started shipping some of the characters together. It was awkward, but funny.

Alright, done with the chapter.
It was kinda lazy and short, but I also have to finish the other oneshot for Day 5. Hopefully you'll find this and the next oneshot enjoyable either way.
Aight, Imma head out!
