Two weeks had past, midterms exams are finally over.
During our English class...
Class, I have now your midterm exams results. Your grades from here will determine your new seating arrangements. As I call your name, go to the seat where I pointed you to seat, okay.
Dexter.... John.... Carl...
Now we only left with two names uncalled, they have the highest grades in this class. Same scores. To be seated at the farthest right side of this room... Celine and Aeon.
You've noticed that all people Infront have the lowest scores, you were assigned there as you need to pay more attention to our lessons but it doesn't mean that all people at the back will relax, remember you still have your semi-finals and final exams, your seats might change.
Yes sir.
Celine... Celine....
Hmmm... Aeon keeps on poking me.
Are you not happy to be seated beside me?
Of course not, it's just that I will be sleepy here.
I'll just pinch you. He seems to be so friendly with me today.
Are you really Aeon? Because the Aeon I knew was as cold as ice, but the person I'm here with is too much different, and I found him cute.
Isn't it? Maybe you don't know me yet, Celine.
Maybe... then he pinches me, earning a scowl from me.
The person Infront of me, pass a folded note, and pointed at the 3rd row.
Written, "You are no longer my seat mate! I miss you already! 😣" I glance at Lance who winks at me.
"Hey, we see each other every day. Meet you at lunch. 😋" was my response to him. I passed it until it reached him.
I'm now the one who poked Aeon. You know Ae, reading letters are fun.
Childish! Should I call him, the odd Aeon, because he's back to his old self.
Then what if that letter is coming from me, will you respond to it?
No way! I'd rather sleep than write you a letter.
You know what, I like the new version of yourself, the one who's smiles a lot.
He didn't respond anymore. Just glancing from time to time while Lance continued to send me his chained letters.
------
You have plans for tomorrow Celine? I was walking home with Aeon, and today happened to be Friday, so everyone is excited for the coming weekend.
I'll be accompanying Aunt Paulette to go on shopping. Why?
I see, is it whole day? How about in the afternoon?
I'll try to ask her. Why?
I'm just bored, perhaps you want to watch sunset with me?
I didn't give him any answers, I'm happy with his offer but I also look forward for the shopping tomorrow.
That night, I told Aunt Paulette about Aeon's plan, doubting if she'll allow me. On the other hand, she was glad to hear that I'm making new friends especially Aeon, not just a good student but also a good-looking guy. As for her, this might help me in forgetting Edward. She even adjusted our shopping time in the morning so we can finish early.
Though everything that happens now, has no meaning because I'm still decided to go back at Bingham right after this school year, but I realized that nothing will be lost if I try making friends and enjoy the things I have right now.
Aeon gave me his cell phone number this afternoon, so that I can update him.
"Aeon, see yah tomorrow. 😊 ", my text to him.
"Good. See you Celine!" It not even a minute or so, when he replied on my text. Is he anticipating it?
"Goodnight Ae! 😊"
"Sweet dreams! 😊" the person texting me must be really bored.
I was trying to browse all my call logs and text messages, while I kill time, when I noticed a call received from Edward, the date was two weeks ago, when Aeon was here.
I really wanted to text or call Edward in the very moment, but I hesitated. He never called me again, what's the sense of reaching out on him. I knew he already read my letter, yet he doesn't exert any effort to say his sorry, I will still forgive him, no matter what. It's just that the bond we had all wasted for nothing, just because of a girl.
