Aeon isn't it early for sunset?

Its only three in the afternoon when we bumped into him on our way home.

We haven't agreed on the time, so I tried to be here early. A boyish grin is eminent on Aeon's face.

You can text me, you know. I just wanted to laugh at him because he was caught unguarded.

Can I change my clothes first?

No need Celine, that will be fine.

We took Aunt Paulette home first, then we proceed to leave.

Isn't it hot in there yet? Why do you have a basket with you and a backpack? Are we going for a hike?

Why do you have so many questions, we'll go there to study.

I'll just go home then. We've just finished the exams, should we be relaxing right now?

I can hear his giggle. Am I that funny?

Half past three in the afternoon, when we reach the hill. The weather was so good and perfect for a picnic.

Wait are we going for a picnic?

Can you just give me a hand instead of asking so many questions?

Picnic on a hill, while waiting for the sunset. How romantic, I thought that only happens in the movies. I am starting to get chatty.

Did you prepare all this by yourself? How thoughtful Aeon, I'm impressed.

I asked Mom for some ideas. He has fruits, sandwiches, wine, cookies, and some fish and chips.

Will you thank your mom for me, she did a great job.

Hey, you should thank me also, I prepared all this by myself.

Okay, thank you. Hahaha!

We were already settled, and eating when...

I have something to tell you Celine.

I only look at him and waited for his next response.

Edward called you right after your parents' call, the day we did the review. I wanted to tell you but I opted not to, for you not to be destructed again. You should have known earlier, I'm sorry Celine.

I knew. I found out last night when I was reviewing my call logs. I just smiled back at him.

You're not mad?

Its fine. Not a big deal. There's nothing to be mad about. I should be thanking you for keeping it to me in the first place. You really did me a favor. Wait Ae, don't tell me you prepared this because you're feeling guilty all this time?

No, of course not. He said defensively. This is out of boredom.

Okay. But he seemed to be lying.

Seriously, what's with the two of you? You're sad every time Edward's name is mentioned and your avoiding the topic.

Edward is my best friend, my one and only friend.

Remember the day, you went home sad, and you wanted the rain to hide your tears? Is it because of him?

I nod to confirm everything.

And you shared your umbrella out of pity. You should not see me like that. I'm sorry.

I witnessed your mood changed right after that phone call. I followed you since we have the same way home, sensing that you plan on soaking yourself from the rain. That's suicide you know.

I laughed at him.

I felt so much grateful to you that day. Is that the reason why you started to accompany me home, because you don't want me to be soak again when it rains?

Of course not, I'm more scared of you getting sick, you're so heavy to carry.

Chad called me that day to tell me that Edward got the letter I left for him.

Is he the reason of your transfer?

Yes, he suddenly avoided me, and doesn't return my calls. Though my parents convinced me to transfer here because of the quality of education your school offers, I still opted to transfer because I don't want to be neglected.

That call of Edward, was the first and only call I had from him after months of no communication, and I was waiting for that the whole time, unfortunately, it isn't meant for me. He was my everything back then, so I was devastated when he chose to avoid me because of someone else. And here I am, I have you, Lance, and everyone in school, and I'm not regretting my decisions.

I'm glad to have you here. We should be thankful to him, if not because of his poor decisions, I will be doing this picnic alone.

I would love to witness that.

Looking like an idiot? And talking to myself? No way.

Why don't we try? Hahaha!

How about you do that Celine since it's all your idea.

And here we go again, the start of bickering and laughing and appreciating everything. Aeon's effort didn't waste for nothing because we did enjoy the sunset all to ourselves.
