CHAPTER 25: The Magic of Sunset

The turn of events happened in just a blink of an eye. The month that had passed after the Prom became very busy and tiring to all of us. The once happy and exciting atmosphere turned to a zombie mode, where everyone crams for finals projects, but luckily all of us, passed the final exams. All the sweat, headaches, sleepless nights paid off.

I happened to see Alexis in school a few times, but since he's already a Senior, he opted not to pursue me because of his busy schedules for their graduation and as an incoming college student.

Imagined I was able to survive the whole year alone, away from my parents, from Edward, and to the place I used to call home. I'd like to congratulate myself for a job well done.

Today, will be the first day of our summer break. Lance is already back to Naples and is spending his summer break with his friends. I supposed to be meeting the big 4 today for a treat before I leaves for Bingham tomorrow.

Good morning my Queen! as early as six in the morning, Aeon already sent his text message. My alarm is supposed to wakes me up at seven, but I decided to rise early.

Aunt Paullete left early, as they are still required to finalized the grades of their students but she told me that Aeon already asked her permission yesterday.

Half past seven when Aeon arrive in his car, I didn't know he knows how to drive. What should I be expecting from him, his a wonder boy that can do amazing things.

No idea where this trip will bring me, Aeon and his big surprises, is what makes me more excited.

The place seems to be far, and the route we are taking are not very familiar. Until I saw a brilliant crystal blue water reflecting the rays of the sun across my eyes, after a two hour's drive.

The smell of the aromatic sea air brings a lot of memories, giving a delightful and distinctive smell that makes me want to stay more in this happy place.

I hope they are with us today, you know, it's more fun to have them.

Its more lovely to have you alone. And, we always come here every summer, don't you think, they need to give me a break sometimes.

But Ae, I didn't bring anything, should I just take off my clothes?

He brought a lot of foods to choose from, he surely loves to have a picnic. Impressive! Not just a sweet talker but acts according to his words.

Thankfully Aunt Paullete is very considerate to pack something for us, prepared in a paper bag, this way I have something to contribute today. Unfortunately, enclose inside, is a bikini. I don't know if I'll be thanking her or will be laughing out of pure embarrassment.

Can you see that Celine? He's pointing on the highest elevated land behind us. That's the hill, where we used to go and see the sunset, unfortunately you can't see this side from there.

Amazing! Everything is wonderful. Who would have thought hidden gems can be found, if you just wish to go outside of your comfort zone.

Aeon told me stories about their road trips, their summer breaks adventures. Everything that matters to him, but this is his first time going out with someone, other than his family and his friends, which I found very sweet.

We enjoyed the day, swimming, eating, laughing, chatting, as we watched some locals enjoying the early feels of the summer, while we wait for the sunset.

Do you really need to go home?

At first, I thought I was only making you a favor, but as the day goes by, I can't keep you out it in my head, like every day, as if I'm crazy...

We waited until the sunset is over, the one who brought us closer together until we decide to call it a day.

Before I left for Aberdeen, almost a year ago, I just wish that I could stay for one more day in Bingham and wait for another sunset with Edward, maybe, everything will change the way I wanted to. But it never happened, and never did I wish to see another sunset here, just to remind me of everything back there.

Who would have thought that sunsets has magic on its own. It heals. It makes you find the serenity within you. It helps you want for another day, another chance in life. It makes you complete. It makes you happy once again and it brought me closer to the person I have today.
