Two days after, Mom, Dad and Chad arrive to celebrate the holidays with us, different from our usual family tradition.
We've become busy preparing everything, from decorations, to shopping and even buying gifts to our relatives, but the most important thing of all is the gift giving. I am fortunate enough to have a very generous parents, me and Chad always looks forward for their presents, of course we also have gifts for them.
The only thing I didn't expect is a gift from Edward and it has a card inside which I kept inside my drawer, unopened. Maybe I'll decide to read it if I'm ready.
I hesitantly opened his gift, I received a locket, inside was an old picture of us, probably around the time when we are both seven years old. I was on pigtails, while Edward tooth was missing in front, his hand was placed on my shoulders, we were smiling and giggling infront of the camera and seemed not to care in the world. The gold old times, we used to spend every break together. Today is also his birthday and I'm not around to personally greet him. Should he be happy even if I'm not around with him anymore, he still has a lot of friends anyways. He might not feel my absence and he must feel relieve because I'm no longer be his obligation, but a part of me wish to be there for him.
I also bought him a birthday gift, a watch, and a card. I want him to realize that my gift symbolizes the time wasted because of his choices. Whether it brings good or bad to both of us, I always wish him happiness even if it includes me or not.
As I am reminiscing everything between Edward and me, I received a text from Aeon.
'Can I call you? 😊'
"Sure!" smiling, I replied to him instantly, immediately forgetting the current dilemma I have right now.

Right now, all I want is to take a break from all this drama. I want to appreciate the peace and serenity of this time. I hope I could settle things first with Edward before deciding to make another step forward.
