CHAPTER 19: Meeting the Parents

Today happens to be the first day of another year. My parents already left two days ago after spending a whole month with us.

Celine Baby, welcome back... I miss you! an excited Matt embraces me immediately.

I miss you too guys.

I'm the only one here who misses you, just don't mind them, while he looks at Aeon, Bern, and Chris.

After the debate, letters began to arrive. Sometimes, they asked someone to deliver it to me, other times, these notes are stuck in my books but only few dares to approach me and give it to me personally.

Thankfully I always have Lance beside me, to at least intimidate them, or the big 4 whose looking like a scary leopard inside our cave, should I say room. Maybe this is an extension of my former school, where I had Chad and Edward to protect me from anyone's advances. Should I be glad, or should I be frustrated? Hahaha! What an ironic world.

Aeon, is still the same Aeon, but this time, he's a bit friendlier, livelier and he smiles more often. He's even sweeter, and more thoughtful, texting me of his constant reminders, greeting me good morning's or even goodnight, or sometimes out of nothing. But thankfully, he hasn't asked me again, because I still have no answers until now.

A whole month, passed by so quickly, the six of us finalized the date to execute our science experiment, the final project we need to submit to Mr. Chase before the end of this school year, and that will be today, Saturday, at Aeon's place.

Let's go Celine! Matt excitedly shoved to me the frogs, which I refuse to look. They fetch me so that we can go together at Aeon house.

Very funny Chris! But honestly, I was contemplating about that matter this whole morning.

Don't worry, they are good people, they'll going to love you.

Aeon's house, is a medium, well-built modern house, that has an enormous space for their garden, you can see a vast array of flowers and plants. One or both of his parents must love gardening. It is also an overlooking place, a perfect place to unwind.

I heard that Aeon is the youngest son in the family, the eldest is already working while the other one, is set to graduate in college this year, both stays in another city, so he remained to stay with his parents.

Come in, Celine, Lance. Welcome to my humble home. Matt invited us to get inside as if he's the owner of the house. Well, as he said, they are regulars here, they treat Aeon's parents as their second parents.

Hi Mom, Hi Pops! The three of them greeted.

Celine, Lance meet my parents. Aeon introduces us.

Dad, Mom, these are Celine and Lance.

You can call me Mom, no need for formalities Celine, all my son's friends are always welcome here.

Mom, do we look nice together? Matt ask while he places his hand around my shoulders.

Everyone tells the same thing, what is it on me? Ae, tell us, who should be with Celine?

Aeon, becomes panicky, as if he wants to pull Matt from everyone.

Celine, forgive me, for these four stubborn heads, but I assure you there are all nice. Mr. Collins explained.

Mom!!! Aeon already scowling from embarrassment, while all of us laugh at him.

Aeon holds my hand and pulled me inside to lessen the cause of his humiliation. But he winks at me instead, smiling. He's not mad after all but is enjoying the moment.
