CHAPTER 11: Announcements

Class, I have 2 announcements.

First, your semi-final exams will be next week so start reviewing as early as now. And second, the day after your exams will be our annual field trip. Don't be excited okay.

That was Mrs. Dixon, announcing another incoming major exam after a month and a half passed. This school never runs out of things to do, almost every day quizzes, school projects and daily homework's. As if I have a social life to begin with, aside from Lance who's with me every day, he became the reason why I always look forward to weekends because of his never-ending plans. I even memorized his timely and day to day activities. We earned some friends as well, aside from Matt's group, most of our classmates considered us to be one of them. I owe this to Lance, not only because of his friendly and energized attitude, but also, he wants us to experience the beauty of a high school life.

Everyone is feeling excited about the upcoming field trip. Some started to make some plans while Lance is worried about next weeks' exams, he had a poor to average results during the midterms.

Celine, can you help me do a review?

Sure. We can start it later after class.

Okay thank you.

I was with Lance, when Aeon, approached me after class.

Celine wait for me outside.

You go ahead first, we will have a review at Lance place, would you like to join us?

He left without any response. Another cold Aeon's experience.

It's almost dark when we decided to end the review, tired but I felt much delighted to help him. He's been a good friend to me.

Half past six in the evening when I arrived home. This will be a very busy week.

Friday came and the whole day was allotted for reviews. We were enjoying our lunch as we chat happily. The four boys are now our lunch buddies, but unlike other days, when all of them are so noisy, Aeon remains to be quiet, he's response are mostly nods.

Sorry guys, I already asked Maika to be my seatmate for next week field trip. Matt you just look for some chick to seat with you.

Sorry Matt, I'll be sleeping the whole time, so not me please. Chris begs.

Me too, Aeon agreed to Chris.

Are you really my friends? Matt starts to sulk.

Lance, how about you? he faces Matt who's busy munching his lunch.

Nope, not going to happen Matt, Lance is with me. I responded to Matt in behalf of Lance.

I'll just seat with you if that worries you. Aeon voiced out.

We all stared at him, but he acted as if nothing happened.

Don't bother Aeon, you can seat beside Chris. Anyways if Lance doesn't want to have me, I'm good to be alone.

Lance, it's a deal okay. Let me take care of you, while he put his arms around Lance shoulders.

Good luck to you Lance, if I were you, just go with Celine, then Aeon and Chris, so you can all rest peacefully. Bern advised.

But Lance face seems to be apologetic as he doesn't want to decline anyone.

Its fine Lance don't stress yourself too much. I can call anyone if I feel bored, anyways we can be together anytime. A wink to him guarantees everything.

No one bothered to opposed my statements, not even Aeon who's acting not to care in the world.
