My question was soon answered as Iris and I ventured outside the building, looking for Barry. We found him lying on the ground, unconscious.

"Oh, god," Iris whispered, scared.

I quickly came over to his side and felt for Barry's pulse. I sighed in relief when I heard it clear as day.

"He's fine," I told Iris before motioning to Barry. "Help me get him sitting up."

Iris and I lifted him until he was leaning against the building's wall.

"Barry?" Iris said, shaking him slightly to get him to wake up. "Barry? Barry!"

Barry then jolted as he woke up, looking at Iris and me in surprise.

"I turned around and you were gone," Iris told him.

"We didn't know where you went," I whispered, worriedly. He had scared me when we found him on the ground like that.

"What happened?" Iris asked. "Are you okay?"

"Yeah, yeah, I'm fine," Barry said breathlessly, glancing around. "I... I went after them to try and get the plates."

"Wha--?" Iris sighed in confusion. I was confused too. What the hell was he thinking? Barry could've gotten himself hurt or killed.

"And I... I fainted," Barry admitted sheepishly.

"You fainted?" I raised my eyebrows in surprise. I then started surveying his body to make sure he wasn't hurt or ill in some way. "Hey, look at me." Barry glanced over at me and I leaned forward, searching his eyes. "Well, your eyes look fine. Have you been eating okay? Drinking water?"

"Yeah," Barry said, "I've been eating and drinking fine. I just got dizzy for a second and fainted, I guess."

"Have you been having any other dizzy spells or fainted before now?" I asked, concerned about his health.

Barry seemed to hesitate for a moment before saying, "No, nothing like that. But I feel fine now."

"Okay," I murmured before helping him stand back up.

All three of us then headed back inside, realizing the police had arrived while we were looking for Barry. We walked over to where Joe and Eddie were standing.

"Hi," Iris greeted them.

"Iris," Eddie smiled when he saw her. Joe was staring at Barry in confusion.

"Hello, Eddie," I said so that Joe wouldn't suspect anything going on between his partner and daughter.

"Natalie, good to see you," Eddie told me kindly.

"Where were you?" Joe questioned with raised eyebrows.

"Dad, go easy," Iris said, glancing over at Barry. "Natalie and I found him outside. He fainted."
