I love you as one loves certain dark things.

I am sat on the roof. Its peaceful here. I have been up since 4am. I awoke to the dawn chorus spilling through the open window in the bedroom. I could hear the beautiful chorus of bird sounds, waking me up to witness the sun rise.
I couldn't get back to sleep after that, so I decided I would obey the birds order and journeyed up to the roof to enjoy the beautiful sun rise.
That's how I ended up here. On the cold, red tiles that make up the roof. Breathing in the crisp morning air. The birds stopped singing at around 6am and I started to hear others bumping around the house underneath me. But I made no effort to get up.
It is now 7:30 ish and a lot of people are up and about, getting ready for the big day ahead of us.
I have been staring in to the woods for a while now. I have memorised the wind patterns, the ways the leaves will blow in the wind. The different shades of green littering the forest. Each type of tree has its own shade of green, pine green, light green, dark green. The amounts of green dotted around, like a patchwork quilt. The different sections supporting a different colour and pattern.
Some wolves exit the house, dressed in gear. They are dressed in black, flexible armour that - with some little mishaps - can expand when we shift in to our wolves. It comes in handy protecting our wolf forms. Unfortunately, the material used to make it is very expensive, so not many packs are privileged enough to get them.
Two guards now walk, side by side, in to the woods, their backs to me. One of them has short cropped blonde hair. He is walking confidently, surely. The one next to him is a smaller girl. Her long black hair pulled up in to a ponytail. She walks sure footed next to him. It is time for the switching of the guards. In exactly 3 minutes and 42 seconds, two other guards will emerge from the same part of the woods, ending their turn. Like clockwork.
3 minutes and 42 seconds later, I wait for them. The two guards haven't come out yet. Maybe they're just, caught up? Maybe I miscalculated. Another 3 minutes and 42 seconds later, no one comes out.
I perk up at this. Something is deffinately wrong now. I stand up, almost slipping on the tiles caked in morning dew. I start making my way down.
When I am just about to start climbing down the walls to the floor, like spiderman. The woman from before comes running out from the forest. Her black hair swinging from side to side. Her face wild with horror.
She runs in to the kitchen. I decide to scratch being spiderman and just jump down from the roof. Possibly injuring my ankles doing so. It doesn't matter though, it will be as good as new in an hour. I run in to the kitchen behind her.
She is looking around frantically. Her wild, sky blue eyes looking around, full of urgency. Her long, slim fingers are shaking. She is breathing rapidly. Her gear is messy and covered in dirt and twigs in her urgency to get here.
"Woah. Calm down." I tell her.
Her urgent eyes find mine. I approach her and take her hands to stop them from shaking.
"What happened?" I ask.
Her eyes search frantically around, "The warriors..... Blood..... Need.... Alpha."
"Calm down first." I try to sooth her.
She takes some deep breaths. When she looks relatively calm, I try to ease her in to telling me what happened.
