Josh exhaled as he and Maya walked through a park in New York.
The girl definitely wasn't about to give up with searching but neither was actually ready to keep on.
She lost hope and she knew that the journey was impossible.
"Don't give up. We'll find them," Josh said and Maya shook her head.
"I'm a pathetic girl who saw her parents last when I was 5 almost 20 years ago. Why am I hoping to find them?" Maya asked as she sat down on the grass.
"Maya, you're not pathetic. You are a strong girl who just escaped from a kidnapping which took place for 20 years. Not many people are as privileged as that," Josh said.
"I'm just another stupid, naive, kidnapped girl who's never going to find her parents again. I have no idea what they look like and now I am going to travel the world searching for people who I can't even remember. Why? Why am I trying?" Maya asked.
