Maya smiled as she was looking at the television before looking back at where Josh was bringing each of them a cup of coffee before sitting down next to Maya.
"You know, I owe you big time after these last three months of taking care of me and helping me to find my family. I didn't realize how good it would be to actually see Colton again," Maya said and Josh smiled handing her a cup.
"It's okay, Maya. You've been through so, so much in your life. And as much as I want to say it doesn't affect me it does. I was the detective who just went into a bar and found the missing girl that I was appointed to find not even knowing what would happen. Now it's been three months, almost four actually, since that night and you just go on. I don't know how you do it," Josh said as Maya sipped her coffee.
"Well I've had the best support the last four months and that through a detective who I never thought would play such a huge part of my life. Josh you saved me in more than one way. I've made peace with my mother's death and I've made peace with the fact that it wasn't just coincidence that the one detective through 19 years of searching were you. I'm glad that it was you," Maya said as Josh smiled.
"Me too. This has been a wild four months. But also the best of my life," Josh said as Maya slightly blushed looking down at her cup.
Josh smiled at the young girl sitting in front of him.
He thought for a second about his life the last few months knowing it was wild and unique but also the best months of his life.
He brushed Maya's hair out of her face causing her to look up at him allowing their blue eyes to meet.
As their eyes met it was like the world stopped.
Maya smiled as Josh leaned closer causing their lips to crash.
Being 24 experiencing your first kiss was something not every girl could say was happening but for Maya it was happening.
Fekeimg Josh's soft lips on hers made her get lost and she didn't want the kiss to stop.
As Josh pulled away he looked in her eyes causing them to smile as Maya laid her head in Josh's chest a she threw his arm around her and be put on a old movie for them to watch.
They kissed!!!
