Maya smiled as she brought Josh his coffee and the people he had to see for the day.
Since she had started to work as an assistant for Josh her life felt like it had more meaning.
She could do something with her life without having anyone judge her or yelling at her.
"You know you are doing an amazing job at all of this. Somehow you are not like every other kid who got kidnapped," Josh said.
"Clearly. I got held hostage for 19 years. It's supposed to be my 25th birthday in May but I don't know what to actually do," Maya said.
"It's going to be okay though. Oh gosh," Josh said as he looked at the files Maya laid down for him.
"What?" Maya asked concerned over why that was Josh's reaction.
"Did you go through these files?" Josh asked and Maya shook her head.
Josh exhaled as he picked up the top file showing the name to Maya immediately letting her know why he was so shocked.
"My file. Why is it here?" Maya asked as Josh went through it.
"I don't know. Which means your family is looking for you. Anastasia!" Josh called the receptionist as she came in.
"The file for Maya. Why is it here?" Josh asked.
"Colton is coming this afternoon about the case," she said and Maya exhaled.
