Chapter 1 3rd POV
Little young nine year old Michelle held onto her stomach as her mom drags her house, where her father had died a year earlier.
"Stop crying you worthless daughter of mine!" Yells her mother, for it just made Michelle cry more. They moved all the way to America to get out of the hair of British folk that tried to take Michelle after her father's violent death. Michelle or 'Minx' for her quiet self became quieter while her mom beat her words and her fists. For five years, until a man came in and took her away from her mom. Finally she was sent to a school meant for people like her, people who were scared.
