Chapter 17

"Thou dost not have the need to speak to you" Thomas grumbled averting his gaze from Kina

The silence danced between the two lovers making it more awkward for Kina to try and start a conversation with Thomas but alas she still tried.

"Look whatever you think you saw it wasn't like that I promise we were just playing tag"

"What dost thou mean 'think' do you think I have something wrong with my eyes?"

Kina stopped to think before replying calmly "yes because I'm not a whore and I've never cheated on you I mean I'm going to break it to you your the only one I love and to be honest I wouldn't have a big choice of men to cheat on you with"

"But you would consider it though wouldn't you" he sneered standing up and walking towards her in a intimidating manner.

Kina rolled her eyes and huffed throwing her arms up into the air as dramatically as possible before proclaiming loudly "OH YEAH OF COURSE THOMAS I'VE DEFINITELY CONSIDER SHAGGING PAT FOR CHRIST SAKE!" Thomas widened his gaze in shock placing his right hand over his heart and leaning back in amazement.

"There was two?!"

"Oh my lord I was being sarcastic you idiot"

He started pacing worriedly back and forth throughout the library muttering "I mean I thought that tedious curly haired beard splitter was bad enough but you've been conferring with gleeful puff guts aswell!"

Kina slapped her hand to her face in frustration, having a serious talk in a relationship is always but having it with a man who barely understood 21st century English and used outdated phrases that only he could understand was much MUCH harder.

Sometimes when Thomas talked Kina had to Google some words just to understand him and it worked the other way round as once Thomas asked what BDSM meant and let's just say it took a long time to explain to the poor poet and made Kina extremely embarrassed.

"Right are you finished muttering like Shakespeare after 10 shots or are you just keeping acting like a child and not let me explain?"
He stopped turning to the small girl infront of him sighing angrily he allowed to finally explain herself.

"THANK YOU jeez right so you know Julian better than I do and you should know the guy is a walking flirt and he was just chatting with me and he started teasing me and thus began a game of tag, understand?"

He stood in silence for few mins making Kina worried that she'd have to go in more detail as per usual however he suddenly nodded replying quietly "I apologise I was too quick to judge"

Kina sighed in relief sitting down on a old couch and Thomas joined her.

"I'm sorry for always arguing with you it's always my fault-"

"Your a man from the Regency era Thomas and you get confused you've had to try and catch up with the times more and more especially after meeting me and I appreciate it so I can understand why you get angry or worried not being able to understand or knowing what to say to be able to relate I can't imagine what that's like"

Thomas looked around nervously fidgeting with his blood stained cuffs making Kina raise her eyebrow at him.

"You didn't understand a word of that did you?"

"No I did"
Kina was taken aback Thomas usually took several times before he understood Kina so this was new.

"Hey umm Thomas?"

"Yes"

"What was your life like I don't really know a lot about you"
He turned and looked into her eyes standing up.

"My life was tedious and full of regrets I was a disaster of a poet I thought I could flush out the emotions of others and people who cared for my own goals...my death was untimely but deserved, I was never close to my family as my father never believed in me and my mother wanted me to be a barrister however that is not what I desired I went on to ruining myself with lust hungry women not bothering to settle down and have a family"
He finished and looked sadly at his love, she stood up walking towards him brushing her fingers softly across his visible wound making him flinch ever so slightly.

"It reminds me of my life more than my death" he stated quietly grabbing her hand gently holding it in his, 'this...this is what love is like' he thought to himself.

Later that day the ghosts were playing a game of Eye Spy it was Kitty's turn, Pat and Robin stared with confusion plastered on their faces whereas Julian, Captain and Fanny looked as if they had already got the answer.

"Is it by any chance I don't know just a hunch... a puppy?" Julian asked dully.

Kitty's eyes widened in glee and she started clapping before proclaiming happily "why yes it is! Julian how did you guess?"

The politician rolled his eyes and massaged his temple replying sarcastically "oh I don't know maybe because it's been a puppy everytime you have a go and I don't think you understand the game it's what you can see and there isn't a puppy anywhere"

"Yes there is in my imagination"

"It has to be what we can see aswell you idiot!"

Kina cut in defending poor Kitty "JULIAN! She isn't a idiot she just got confused it's ok Kitty well done" Kitty smiled hugging Kina tightly making Julian once again roll his eyes in embarrassment.

"Ok my turn ya muppets woo!" Kina yelled standing up and faced the group.

"Right I see something beginning with....F"
The others stared at Fanny who was completely oblivious, Kina shook her head laughing making Captain and Thomas groan in annoyance that they weren't right.

"Flowers?" Pat answered.

"Nope"

"Fly?" Robin answered.

"No"

"Fedora?" Fanny answered.

"No sorry"

"Fat man?" Julian answered sneering pointing at Pat.

"NO JULIAN SAY SORRY NOW!"

"Sorry Pat"

"That's quite alright" Pat gleefully spoke.

"We give up what in the blazes is it?"

Kina smirked before responding "Family"

The ghosts all stared in puzzlement at the young girl as her only relative they knew about left her in a argument so which family was she on about.

"Oh my god YOU! You guys are my family" Kina chuckled as the ghosts got the hint, Fanny stood up placing her hand on Kina's shoulder gently.

"Dear you are very sweet and I here I thought you were a woman of the night but I was completely wrong" She spoke casually completely unaware she'd just called Kina a prostitute however the short girl brushed it off and took it as a compliment.

"You are one of us now young Kina and we'll look after you even if we are dead I will take it as my duty" Captain confirmed making Kina run up and hug him tightly the others joined even Julian after being pulled in by Robin.

Everything's going to be alright she thought.

Heyy I'll make it more about the storyline next chapter and I won't make Thomas fall out with Kina anymore lmao but yeah hope you like it, thanks so much for the support on this story I'm glad I didn't discontinue this xx -NW
