OW! My foot slammed against the tiled wall and my eyes flew open. I let out a breath of relief. It was only a dream. I grabbed my phone out from under my rosegold pillow and checked the time. My eyes widened and I couldn't believe my phone. 5:45?! 15 minutes before my alarm? That's a record! I was still tired, but I didn't want to go back to my nightmare. I had them frequently, unfortunately. I need to get up. I tried to roll over my left shoulder and instantly regretted it.

"OUCH!" I whispered-screamed. My shoulder felt like someone was shooting rockets into it. Probably a bruise. Again. I would check it when I had my glasses on. Glasses. I reached blindly for my emerald green glasses case and took out my green-framed glasses. I slipped them on and immediately everything cleared up.

I put my hair up into a (really) messy ponytail and stumbled to the bathroom. I carefully brushed my teeth to make sure my teeth were blinding white and while I was gurgling scorching purple Listerine mouthwash, I put in contacts and went to go pick out my outfit.

I went to my closet and picked out the first top that caught my eye: a ribbed maroon crop-top. Cute, but trendy. Something to wear to blend in. I grabbed a pair of light-wash jeans, just to play it safe. After I put on my off-the-shoulder crop-top, I got a very good look at my bruise. It was the size of a man's fist and it was a grayish-purplish color. Ugh, if mom saw. I grabbed my bottle of concealer and started to lightly dab it on. It wasn't enough. I had to add on just a little to make it look natural, but you could still see the purplish tint through it. If I added more, then it would look cakey and everyone would know I was hiding something and start making rumors. I stood there for a good minute trying to figure out what to do when I got a notification alerting me about the weather.

"65 DEGREES. A LITTLE CHILLY," it read. A little chilly!

I raced into my closet and pulled out a black bomber jacket. It was perfect. It stylishly covered my bruise.

After I grabbed my jacket, I went on with my makeup routine. I dabbed concealer under my eyes because Aisha told me I looked like a raccoon without it. I put on lotion instead of foundation because Faith told me my face was drier than her grandma's fireplace. I put on mascara because CeCe told me it made my eyes look bigger. I did my eyebrows because my boyfriend, Sean, told me they disappear when I don't do them. Lastly, I added some lip tint because why not? I quickly brushed my black-blonde tipped hair, grabbed my books, and slipped on some black Airforce.

As I was grabbing a muffin from the fridge for breakfast, my mom woke up.

"Honey, you woke up early today," she said groggily.

"I know right mom! I woke up at 5:45 today! That's a record!" I bragged. She high-fived me (because my mom is cool like that) and asked if I needed a ride.

"No," I replied, "I can just bike there."

"Good, I can sleep in," she joked and headed back to her bedroom.

"Oh, and sweetheart?" she asked and turned around

"Yeah, mom?" I answered while nibbling my chocolate chip muffin.

"I packed egg rolls for your lunch," she said and closed the bedroom door behind her.

"Wow, that was deep," I muttered. Did I mention I'm Asian, specifically Vietnamese? No? Sorry. Now I just ruined your popular girl image.

Anyways, after I ate breakfast, I grabbed my white bike and pedaled to school. Of course, I could take the car to school, but I wanted to burn some calories so biking it is. About halfway there, I decided the morning was too quiet so I slipped on some headphones and continued.

Author's note: Sorry for not having much action in this chapter. I wanted to show how Alexandria is before she gets to school. I will try to post everyday! Lot's of Love!
