As I finally realized that nobody was coming, my heart hardened. My emptiness filled with anger. Why do I do this? Why? Because of the secret, my brain reminded me. You have to be protective of it. I internally groaned. Of course, the worst person knew my worst secret. I sighed. Just my luck.

As my anger cooled, determination rose. I would pass this audition and show CeCe that I am not talentless. That just because my mom has a kind of large salary doesn't mean I don't work for my goals. I've wanted to debut for so long and a paragraph of words won't stop me (The author: YEAH! YOU GO GIRL. EVEN THOUGH THAT TOOK SO LONG).

And just like that, my waterfall of tears turned into a trickle. I started to calm down. The horrible shuddering turned into tiny shakes. The sobs became nonexistent. I blew my nose with a paper towel and wiped the few lingering tears off my face. I was right to buy waterproof mascara.

As I exited the bathroom, I saw a silhouette leaning against the wall by the bathroom. Relatively tall with a manly physique. He had light brown hair which was pushed up by a maroon headband and dark chocolate eyes.

"Hey, Evan. What are you doing?" I asked as I recognized the male figure. Evan is my childhood best friend and Faith's boyfriend.

"Er-I-um," Evan stuttered as he tried to not look like a stalker.

"You were er-I-umming?" I teased.

"No, no! I was just practicing some moves," Evan protested as he did some of the wackiest dance moves I have ever seen. Despite crying in the bathroom not even 5 minutes ago, I burst out laughing.

"What...was...that?" I asked in between hysterical laughs.

"The best thing you've ever seen," Evan boasted, pointing a finger gun at me. I laughed some more.

I was practically in tears of joy when Evan awkwardly asked, "Hey, so I don't mean to be nosy, but as I was totally practicing these awesome 'dance moves,' I heard crying from the girl's bathroom. Are you okay?"

I stopped laughing, Actually, I practically stopped breathing. I've been doing this for years! Not letting anyone catch on to what was happening to me, even my family doesn't know! And in one day, two people have caught on. UGH!

"What else did you hear?" I asked panicking and embarrassed.

"Well mostly crying, but I thought also heard some mumbling too. That's not the point. Are you okay?" Evan asked concerned.

"I'm fine," I snapped. I covered my mouth in shock that I just spat some of my anger out on someone who was just trying to help.

"I'm sorry," I apologized almost immediately, "But I'm really fine."

"Hm, those eyes tell me differently," Evan said, taking note of my puffy eyes.

DARN IT! See, this is why you don't associate with smart people. YOU CAN'T FIGHT BACK.

"Whatever," I said crossing my arms over my chest defiantly.

"Hm, sassy much? You never change," Evan said, "Besides the fact that you now cry in bathrooms instead of just squatting down and throwing tantrums."

"Oh be quiet," I said rolling my eyes.

"Was it my ex?" Evan abruptly asked.

"Huh?" I asked surprised at the sudden topic change. I don't hang out with any of his exes either.

"Faith," Evan said as if this was obvious, "Did she-."

"Wait, YOU AND FAITH BROKE UP?" I practically shouted in surprise. But they were Marble's IT couple!
