Chloe: Speeches

"Welcome to Marble High School's fifteenth auditions for a produce group," the principal started off. 

I glanced at my phone. The cameras were circling the entire room, showing the audience this year's batch of contestants.

The cameras zoomed in on CeCe. She seemed to notice because she smiled and waved. Immediately the comments started rolling in.

Kyla started to laugh, "If only they knew." Everyone else joined in.

I didn't make any comment. I don't have a problem with CeCe. She seems like a regular popular high school girl. I guess she's talented, but I don't pay attention to her much. Her life just sounds exhausting and the last thing I want to do is get involved with it. I've only said one bad thing about her and it's when the rumors of her and Nick came out.

"Terrible type," I had giggled. That's all I've ever said. And even then, I had felt guilty the second I said it. She must deal with rumors every day and I didn't want to make it worse for her. Must be hard being the popular girl.

"Please welcome our special guest judge! Miss Selena Gomez!" the principal announced. Cheers and whoops swarmed the gym.

"Hello everyone! Thanks so much for having me here," Selena gushed.

"Thanks for being here," the principal said with a lot of unnecessary sweetness in his voice. He must need some new sponsors for the school, "Do you have any comments for the students?"

"Students remember, you have to have confidence in yourself and your music. Some of you have been practicing for your entire lives for this dream. So chase after it! Do your best and have no regrets!" Selena exclaimed. Cheers were the response of the student body. 

"Beautifully said, Miss Gomez. Students, you know how this goes. You will each be called alphabetically. Since there are around 150 of you here, all of which have good grades, this will take a while. Each of you will audition with Dance first, and those whose names that are called at the end of the Dance audition will be eliminated. Then, we will continue on to Vocals. After that, Rap auditions will be held. There will not be any elimination round for Vocalists or Rappers. There will be Face-Off rounds, where judges can put students head to head in a competition in a category of their choosing. This will help the judges make their decision. The winner and loser will not be announced. The rounds are only there to help affect the judges' opinions and scoring. Some of you are here just to audition with Dance and Vocals or Dance and Rap or perhaps all three. If you wish to audition with more than just 2 categories, then you will have to stay until you have auditioned in all 3 categories. As soon as you are finished auditioning in all the categories that you wish, or perhaps you chicken out, you are permitted to leave. Please be cautious and wary of all the er..loud fans outside and news reporters. If they ask you any questions, tell them that you are not in the place to answer questions. You must have a ride home as nobody is allowed to stay at the school after auditions. If any of those two rules that I just mentioned are broken, you will be severely punished. Bling and Bring It!, do you have any comments?" the principal asked.

Bling and Bring It! stared at each other like, "Who's going first?" Then, awkwardly, the stares of confusion turned into stares of affection. Brooklyn blushed when Ace winked at her. Indiana and Apollo seemed to be having a flirty conversation with their eyes because Indiana was turning beet red. Emily and Ricky stared at each other so intimately, I felt like I had just walked into something. Wouldn't be the first time...I mean, the world could go up in flames and they wouldn't notice! Oh, forget it, Chloe. There is no way you could've saved that line. Khloe and Lucas kept avoiding eye contact (probably to avoid fueling dating rumors), but it was like 2 magnets kept forcing them to look at each other and smile. Then after they realized they were staring, they would turn away hastily as if nothing happened. This kept happening every 3 seconds and every time, they just kept getting redder at each shy smile. ADORABLE! But the most unexpected potential couple? Nate and Lapis looked at each with goo-goo eyes! Since when? What? WHEN? The fans seemed to notice too.
