I hurried back into the crowd, in the crowd, anxious to find Carlie. I finally found her when she was about to head into the locker room.

"Hey! I lost you. Where'd you go?" Carlie asked as she spotted me.

"I got thrown to the back of the crowd," I grumble, thinking of Nick.

Carlie misinterprets the reason for my sour mood. "Yeah, it was chaotic out there."

We walk to our lockers. I grabbed my dance clothes as I said, "Tell me about it." Carlie chuckles.

I quickly change. I was so nervous about auditioning that I didn't even try to make a conversation.

As soon as we stepped into the gym, we went to the front desk to give our forms to the judges. Most of them were teachers, such as Mrs. Night and Mr. Mauser, but there was a special guest: SELENA GOMEZ! I internally squealed. Selena. Freaking. GOMEZ! AHHHHHHHHHHHH!

"Hi! I'm such a big fan! I've loved you since Wizards of Waverly Place," I confessed as we walked by her.

"Thanks so much, sweetheart! I look forward to seeing your audition," Selena told me. I almost fainted. Was this a dream?

"Pinch me," I whispered to Carlie as we tried to find our friends in the humongous gym. The gym is like 2 or 3 football fields put together. In other words, huge-

"OW! I didn't mean it literally," I exclaimed as I rubbed my arm. Carlie smirked.

"Carlie! Chloe! Over here!" someone shouted in the chaos. I looked in the direction of the voice. Winter was waving us over to where she, Kyla, and Ariel were sitting. Ava and Kasha weren't auditioning.

We jogged over to them.

"Hey!" I greeted them.

"Hi," Carlie said.

"Hey," they all said. Carlie and I got settled in and quickly joined in with the conversation. While all this was happening, I took in the scenery.

The gym was packed with juniors with students lining every wall. The seniors had lost the chance to audition because ever since Freshman year, they've kept causing trouble. The failure and embarrassment of Blitz was the cherry on top. After Blitz disbanded, the principal declared that since the seniors were irresponsible, they could not be trusted to influence choices. Right, because as soon as you are announced as a member of a produce group, you are practically a social media influencer.

Also in the room, news reporters and cameras were everywhere, ready to see the potential members of Bling's junior group. It was kind of cool.

Up on an elevated platform, was Bling themselves. The most popular group in the world, just 20 feet away from me. There were security guards surrounding them and standing next to them on the platform. I could bet that there were now security guards swarming the hallways and outside guarding the doors so that possible assassins or fans would have no way in. In fact, I could hear the fans outside, from all the way in the gym. That's how famous they were.

Bling consisted of the regular 5 members, Indiana, Brooklyn, Lapis, Emily, and Khloe. Indiana was their Leader, Lead Vocalist, and Lead Rapper. She was absolutely gorgeous. Her wavy brown hair with blonde tips went all the way down to her back. Her mint green doe eyes scanned the room. From their multiple reality shows, I could tell she was sort of quiet, calm, and smart, but when she was with her members she was a giggling crackhead.

On her left sat Brooklyn, Bling's most popular member. She was the group's main dancer, sub vocalist, and center. Center was one of the most important positions. Everyone wanted Center. So, it was no surprise that Brooklyn, the school's best dancer in all of its history, had gotten Center. Actually, it was just no surprise that she got in. Brooklyn is an even better dancer than Alex. Brooklyn just stands out in general. Her fiery red hair and pale skin contrast, making it easier to spot her. Her eyes are a brilliant green, but there was a tint of blue in them. She's a lot like Indiana, but a bigger nerd and she's not so serious. I guess that's what makes people like her.
