"Shh Nya it's okay." Maya hushed her little girl in her arms as she cried. Little Nya was for some reason overly emotional and clingy today - it was like she didn't want anything than a hug. Believe me, they've tried. But nothing's working.

The woman gently laid her down and felt extremely bad when baby Nya started crying again, reaching her hands for her mother and wanting up be held by her again.

She missed her forehead gently and rushed over up the stairs, and somehow finding her husband who literally just woke up.

"Morning, sleeping beauty."

"Morning, honey- really?"

Maya laughed and sped past him, being careful around Kai's room; as the three year old was just waking up too, and trying to get out of bed. She sighed and quickly walked into his room and pick him up, then set him back down.

"Morning Kai," She greeted, ruffling his already messy hair and smiling at her son. He smiled and back and tumbled over it his draws, waiting for his father to come in and dress him; as last time the brunette tried to it himself, he put off socks on, and failed it even put on his trousers, let alone get his shirt on the right way. So that was fun for the parents to sort; especially with a near awake, and very scared-of-being-alone Nya.

He groaned and rubbed his eyes. "Morning mommy." She smiled and walked back out, noticing her husband had actually gotten dressed and did his hair.

"Yeah, I got dressed."

"I'll send you to the couch."

"Okay, I'll shut up."

(See what i mean now? Maya is terrifying)

She walked into Nya's room and found her little blanket on the floor, laying there like it had been dropped. She could hear her daughters crying from downstairs, and Nya only began to become more and more upset, stressed and scared.

She grabbed the blanket and plushie and ran back down the stairs.

Once she got down there, Nya's one year old brain seemed to notice and immediately made grabby hands for her. Maya's heart melted at Nya and she laid the little girl back down before sighing and looking at her crying silently. She lightly tickled her stomach and got her attention, the showed her the blanket. Nya carries on crying but slowly took the blanket with her small hands, and used the other hand to clutch the plushie.

But, for some reason, that didn't even make her better.

Over the time, the family had come to realise how much Nya loved blankets, they were a big thing to help calm her down or distract her when no one was there to hold her.but for some reason, today she wasn't having them. Instead she cried harder.

"Oh no no please don't cry, shh sweetheart it's okay." She cooed, picking the girl up and bouncing her lightly. Her crying did not come to a stop however, only lessened the volume.

Ray walked down the stairs and sighed. "Has she been like this all morning?" He asked, walking up to his wife and noticing his daughter's tear stained face and shaking form. "Jeez." He added on, gently stroking her hair.

"I've tried everything, I don't have a clue what to do." Maya sighed.

"I do!"

The couple jumped and looked at their three year old son that somehow got down the stairs without either of them noticing.

Ray raised an eyebrow. "You do?" Kai nodded and jumped up, trying to get Nya from his mother's grasp. Maya then placed the still upset girl in Kai's arms and the two watched in confusion ans aw.

And as soon as she was in Kai's arms, she relaxed and giggled, trying to reach for Kai's hand. He smiled and held his hand out, then Nya wrapped her little hand around his finger, and smiled.

"I've got you sis," The parents smiled at that, feeling proud of their son.

"Those two don't know sh.t about parenting."

Yeah, they take that back.

"Oh, and Kai?"

"Yes mommy?"

"I'm proud of you, but you're grounded."
