Diane's part 12

Some days have already passed since that little "sleepover" I had and I feel relieved and kinda free that I don't have that load in my mind anymore, even thought that anxiety only lasted half a day.

Today is Monday and as every single kid on this planet I got school today and it is something I must do if I want to survive this world in the future.

Right now I'm eating a sandwich made by my mom before I leave the house for about 7 to 8 hours, I try to enjoy this meal as much as I can only because it's delicious as hell even thought it's just a sandwich, after finishing it I decided to go out there and finally go to that damn place, when I got out of the house something in my mind told me that I shall look for a door in particular, in this case the front door of Astreed's house, my mind also told me to go there and wait, I didn't want to argue with my mind right now. Without even noticing I was already in front of the door, I didn't touch the bell or even knocked it, I just waited there for some reason until the movement of the door opening finally took me back to reality. It was Astreed who appeared behind it, I noticed in how her eyes posed on me and analyzed me from my feet to the head.

I didn't know what to do exactly, so I simply thought telling her to walk with her to school, that way I won't have to tell her that my mind told me to be there, that might freak her out.

D-Uhm.... Hey Astreed.

A-Oh, what are you doing here?

D-Sorry if showing up like this makes you uncomfortable, but ehm...

For some reason it was hard for me at that time to get the words out of my mind, like if I had a knot on my throat.

D-it's just that I assumed you'd go at this time.

A-Oh I see, you didn't have to wait for me you know

D-Why not? I live too houses next to you, plus you're my f-friend now, remember?

This simple words put her in a nervious semblant for 15 seconds, thinking about what to say next, until she finally responded

A-O..Oh, yeah, don't worry?, so shall we go?

D-As you wish.

As I said before I had to walk by her up to school, there was nothing special here, just the two of us walking and not saying a single word, and I don't complain about this last fact, it really feels nice when it's quiet,but this calm had to end sometime. We arrived at school and we had to split out to different classrooms, because obviously we are not in the same classes.

D-Well, I'll see you around ok?

A-Ok.

Before she walked away I decided to call her once again just to say thanks

D-Astreed.

A-Yeah?

D-Uhm...... Thanks for being with me, I-I really e-enjoy your company.

As always a little blush apperaed in her cheeks giving her that shy semblant she always carry with.
