Trapped in the Past

Chapter 12

I basically ran to my chambers and locked myself in. Leaning on the door chambers, a tear rolled down my cheeks. All I wanted was to go home, to my time but I knew that that would not happen so living in this time was my only chance. I tried my best to make this work but when I came here, a history was made.

A horrible history!

It was already around 4pm and I was on my knees, crying, blocking the door. Nothing did really hurt me but Caleb did. He made me cry and I did not know him.

I was only reflecting on what I had done when I was there when I heard a knock on my door. I ignored it but then the person kept knocking and then the person yelled, "Katarina! Opened the door!" it was Arthur. I ignored it. He was the least person I would like to see.  "Stop the act Katarina... You are not a little girl anymore! Open this door!" So I acted like a brat. I was the opposite in my time.

I was depressed. I was alone and everyone hate me.  I stood up, wiped the tears away and unlocked the door and see him with a weak smile.

The first face I saw was Arthur. Beside him was Merlin. I could sense he was sad for me. I looked at that blond man he started to scold me again. I was at the verge of punching that face but I knew I will be in trouble. Losing my mind.... I am losing my mind.... " STOP!" I yelled with my two hands in front of me. There Arthur stood still. I panicked.

Merlin stared at me and yelled at me,"What do you think you are doing?"

"I don't know.. I just got them.. It just happened.. what do I do? Merlin.. please help me... i... I don't know what do know..." I cried.

Merlin took a deep breath and looked around him. Looking at me, he suggested, "alright.. you did this when you freeze him.. so... now, do it again....maybe it will unfreeze him.. I will stand where I was standing.." I nodded and did what he told me so. Then Arthur  talked again. I took a deep breath and pulled Merlin into my room and locked the door behind me when I closed the door. "What are you doing? This will look suspicious," he asked.

"I need help... You will be able to help me.. I think..." I told him. "please sit down..." I asked him to take a sit at the table. "when I came here, I realised that I could freeze people, I can move object and I get premonitions... I lost my wand when I came to this time." I explained, while he looked at me attentively. "I shouldn't tell you this but erm... Merlin, is there a way I could go back to my time?"

Merlin kept silent and thought. He shook his head. "but you can't freeze me..." he replied.

I nodded my head as I replied to him, "because you are magical... I think..." he smiled.

"You know, you can't do this here... you need to kept this a secret. I know it will be hard for you but you have to do it.."

"I know Merlin... Even back in my time, we, wizards and witches kept it from the non-magical people... it wasn't too hard to use magic though.. we just use it in the Wizards' world..." I looked down.. "Merlin... what am i? our magic is soo different..."

"Delilah... "he called, I looked up. No one called me that here.. except him. I smiled. I missed that name. I missed people calling me that. "I know you will react to that... " he continued. I blushed. "I cant help you much but I think Gaius could..." I smiled because I know there was some help. Merlin stood up and hand me his hand. "come on.. I will bring you to him.." I took his hand and he dragged me gently out of the room. Arthur looked confused when we rushed pass him.

I felt I was being to harsh to Katarina  but past could not be changed. For the first time, I felt the pain she was feeling. It felt as if she was a different person. I walked to her chambers but as I reach a couple of meters from her chambers when I saw a peasant had his hand on her. I wondered since when she like to get close to a peasant.
