Chapter 22

That night, when I was in bed, i woke up realising someone was in my room. I turned my head towards the chamber doors, to see Caleb walking towards my bed. Slowly, he took off his shirt revealing his toned and muscular body. Then I thought, if I screamed, Caleb might act as if I was seducing him to come to my chambers. After all, looking back to the history, I was a bitch, although I really did not do it. So I stayed still pretending to be asleep. He probably want me to get caught in the morning by Ananta.

With my eyes shut, I felt the bed being push down. Caleb probably got on the bed and on top of me. Then, I felt a touched on my lips. Caleb was kissing me so passionately, I tried not to kissed him back or my life will be destroyed. Then he slept next to me, with his arm on me, holding me tight. "I don’t want to marry Ananta. I want you. He whispered and kissed my cheek.

I could no sleep. Two hours later, when I was sure Caleb was asleep, I got off the bed and walked out from my chambers in my night gown. I walked while thinking, what should I do? Caleb could say anything and everyone believes him. Didn't I realised I was at the balcony. I walked to the edge and looked at the stars. All of a sudden, I felt a touched on my shoulder which made me jumped. My heart started to race. I turned around to see Gwaine.

"What are you doing here?" He asked.

"Trying to save myself." I replied.

He flinched and added,"From what?"

"Gwaine I…. I'm scared…." I told him the truth.

Without hesitation, he pulled me into a hug and asked me, "What are you scared of?"

"when I was in my chambers, I was awoken by the door. and then I saw Caleb entering my room." I looked up at Gwaine and continued, "I did not say anything because I knew he would blame it on me. saying I am seducing him. Caleb got into my bed and sleep next to me. I could not sleep and two hours later when I am sure he is asleep, I snuck out from my chambers."

"That serpent!" Gwaine commented. I looked up at him with surprise. He chuckled, " I believe you… I have seen how he act and I actually saw him walking into your room. He had this stupid smirk on his face. I was worried, for a moment I thought I will hear you scream when he enters, so I left and will defend you when tomorrow comes. But I was worried, so I went to your chambers and to check on you and you weren't there."
"So you came to find me…" I finished his sentence. Gwaine nodded his head and smile. "Thank you Gwaine."

"You are welcome." he replied. "I think it's time for you to go to sleep. I will get you a chamber and I will guard it. " I just smiled and nodded my head.
 
"Good night Gwaine and thank you." I grinned and then closed the door behind me. I walked towards the bed and got under the blanket.
