"Lexa."

Lexa felt a warm hand on her shoulder, gently shaking her awake. She startled and sat up quickly, head colliding with the blonde before her.

"Ow, fuck," Clarke cursed, holding her forehead.

"Sorry," Lexa spit out, still shaken by her rough awakening.

Clarke waved a dismissive hand. "It's fine. I have your ration. Eat quickly. I'm going outside to monitor the people. I need to know when the drugs are kicking in. When I return, I'll have clean clothes for you to change into before we leave. You'll have to hurry when I get back. Stay awake."

"Okay," Lexa responded. She sat up and grabbed the bowl on the floor before her. She looked at its contents and saw several of the expired Jobi nuts mixed in with blackberries, boysenberries, lingonberries and many more. She began sorting them out, setting the Jobi nuts in a neat pile beside her leg. Clarke was gone when she looked up next and Lexa quickly devoured her portion of food for the morning. She then sat as patiently as she could while she awaited the return of her new ally: Clarke Griffin, leader of the invading pack.

Clarke was stunned by the sharp pain in her forehead. She quickly pulled away and grabbed at her forehead where the pain was radiating from. She could help but close her eyes and scrunch up her features in distress. "Ow, fuck," she sputtered as she scooted backwards.

"Sorry!" The Akins was rushed and anxious.

Clarke opened her eyes and unwrinkled her nose and brow. She allowed her hand to stay on the spot. She waved her to her hand dismissively. "Its fine. I have your ration. Eat quickly. I'm going outside to monitor the people," Clarke pauses for a breath. "I need to know when the drugs are kicking in." She nearly winced at the thought. She was driving her own pack. It wasn't something she would have imagined herself doing a month ago, or even a week ago, but here she was. Clarke mentally scolded herself for letting her mind wander. This was her responsibility to her pack. She was doing what was best for them, even if it didn't look like it yet. "When I return, I'll have clean clothes for you to change into before we leave. You'll have to hurry when I get back. Stay awake."

Lexa looked down and grabbed her ration bowl, pulling it forward. "Okay." Clarke took this as her cue to leave. She disappeared out the tent flap quickly and was submerses back into the common area of her pack.

The exiles were working hard today, much to Clarke's relief. She was glad that the challenge from the day before wasn't too big of a hiccup. What was about to happen next would be much more problematic. Clarke could only hope it wouldn't be.

She knew what the risks were. She knew that Bellamy would challenge her for dominance because of this. She knew that her people were about to be left vulnerable. And she was very aware that she was blindly trusting a woman she barely knew and had almost no reason to trust. But she also knew that Bellamy would challenge her regardless of this. This was just speeding up the inevitable. She also knew that the Trikru wolves seemed to entirely loose interest in them over the last week. And she knew the only other choice was to let Bellamy and his followers torture this girl who was clearly not going to cave, even if she did know something useful.

Clarke made her way around camp like every other day, checking in one the various stations and jobs to identify and correct any hiccups or errors. But today, she was also looking for the little signs and hints of the hallucinations that were destined to fall on her wolves at any moment. It didn't take too long before members of her pack began to feel woozy. Their speech was slowing or slurring. Some of them weren't speaking at all, just mumbling incoherently. She watched in bitter satisfaction as her plan was moving into action.
