CAVE OF TWO LOVERS

Two lovers, forbidden from one another. A war that divides their people. The Fire Nation against the rest of the nations. When she was young, her parents gave Kira up to the Fire Nation in a promise that she will be safe. Ozai kept thst side of the deal. He even had a stolen water bender from the Southern Water Tribe, stolen years and years before, so that she could master water bending, teach Azula how to master lightning, and to come to her aide when needed. Kira was just a child when she met Azula.

It was fate, it had to be. Even when Kira was young and learning and teaching Azula, she felt a connection. One Azula shared. She was shy, at one point of time, but Azula had her talk to Mai and Ty Lee. While Azula constantly teased the other two girls, she was kind and gentle with Kira. She wanted her to be cared for since she had no family. Although, she couldn't find out why she felt that way towards Kira. Kira felt happy when Azula would invite her to have fun with Mai and Ty Lee. She even enjoyed playing knives with Zuko, though that made Azula jealous.

Kira was also taken care of by Ursa before she was killed who tried to protect Kira from hard treatment. Though, everyone was surprised when Ozai ended up enjoying the young girl's presence himself. Ozai even seemed Kira the perfect friend for Azula. Ursa agreed due to how they balanced each other out and how Kira always got Azula to think things through. Little did Ozai know that eventually, the two girls would fall for each other. Kira a water peasant, now lady in the princess's court. The reason she was put at such a high position was because Azula wanted to keep her close. She needed the girl near. There was no explanation except for the fact that her feelings were very uncontrollable.

Azula enjoyed holding the girl in her arms, listening to her read, and laughing at her tales. She loved the little stories Kira would tell of her childhood before she was taken. But, how she understood that she was taken for safety reasons. She was thankful, after all. She was safe and fed many great meals. She was also able to meet Princess Azula. That was something Kira always told Azula was her favorite part about being at the Fire Nation. However, there were times where they disagreed. Kira felt like the Fire Nation could be harsh and cold while Azula felt like there wasn't enough fear instilled within the other nations. But, at the end of the day, the two would get over their differences and support each other.

Kira's favorite thing about Azula was her ambition. Though, it scared her tremendously, it was also envied. Kira felt like sometimes she had no ambitions. She felt like Azula could take over the world while she would just stand by her side since she never had anything else to do, not that she minded. Kira enjoyed being by Azula's side. Sometimes, she just wished there was something more for her to do. She always aspired to be a general. However, Azula shot that down because she couldn't lose Kira to war.

Though, Azula wouldn't admit it, but sometimes, she did miss her family members. She just loved power more. She wanted to keep the power for herself and maybe for Kira. She wanted to give power to Kira. In fact, when she becomes Fire Lord, she will make sure that she lets people marry who they won't. Maybe then, she'll have a chance with Kira.
