Kokichi's POV

I had left that noisy room only minutes ago, humming in the bare halls while I made my way back to my dorm room. It was by chance I had found Shuichi there, but I had expected him to be with at least one more person once I saw him. I suppose he was just that edgy. At some point during our conversation, I didn't feel like teasing anymore. It turned out that I didn't really tease him much in the first place, and Shuichi wasn't as irritated as I imagined he'd be. It was...different. I knew my days of daily pranks and torment were surely over, but that didn't mean that I was done completely. For some reason I was just losing that spark. Trying to prank Shuichi is no fun anyways! He's a detective, he would see right through it. Teasing him was another story. Teasing him was fun, that little detective gave a good reaction every time.
"Oh? I'm here?"
I stopped. I had went a few steps past my dorm room on accident, thinking about the emo guy. Silly of me, I don't need to think of him all the time, I have others to toy with too.
Enough of that. I dug into my side pocket and pulled out a key. The metal was cold against my finger tips, I don't think I'll get used to that anytime soon. I unlocked the door and pushed it open. Rantaro wasn't there in the room, as expected. It crossed his mind that his roommate had said that he'd be out with some other friends during the break.
"Cool! All to myself!"
I chirped, skipping over to my bedside and digging into one of my bags laying there. While having such a difficult time, I figured I should organize at some point to make it easier on myself. Nah.
I pulled out a wearable blanket and threw it over myself, throwing the hood over my head and flopping on my bed. I knew about the blanket already provided for me, but this was so much better. Wearable, comfy, and safe from annoyance. I pulled out my phone and started browsing the web for anything interesting to read or watch. There was plenty of time to kill until classes started back up and there was no point in going back out to bother anybody. It was comfy anyway,
Cozy,
And warm,
The phone plopped down on the bed right by the pillow and my hands just laid there. My vision was hazy at that point. Lazily, I kicked off my shoes and stretched out. That caused one shoe to fall off the bed and my other to be shoved to the very end of the mattress. Curling up, I let my eyes close.

Shuichi's POV

"Yeah, that sounds fine, I'd appreciate it,"
"Just right here, it looks like he left it open by mistake."
Leading me into their dorm was Rantaro, and thank god for it. I had wandered outside of the building a small while ago to see more of what the campus looked like after finishing my lunch. It was pretty, flower beds here and there with pastel colors, made the academy look a lot more presentable. I had stopped to simply examine more when suddenly a car sped past him and around the U-shaped road, mud splattering all over his pants and his shoes. And for some reason, I only had one pair of shoes. Rantaro and his other friends ran into me almost instantly after that happened. Rantaro explained to me that he could give me an extra pair of pants, but I had told him the only thing I can't change right away is my shoes. Turns out, we have the same shoe size. As convenient as it was, I'm not complaining.
"Oh, or not, he's sleeping."
Rantaro laughed and pointed to a lump of brown, fuzzy blanket. I hadn't noticed that Kokichi was laying down with a wearable blanket covering his body and only his face and hands exposed.
That face...
Woah.
Kokichi's face was shockingly pale now that I was paying attention, his skin clear, and he had the longest lashes, with a natural pink tint to his cheeks and across his nose. That was barely noticeable however. He looked peaceful and sweet, it was the calmest I'd ever seen him. A lot different from his usual grin that almost always means trouble.
I must have been staring way too long than I should have, because Rantaro tapped my shoulder and held up a pair of shoes once he caught my attention.
"Go ahead and wear these until you can get your shoes washed. Keep them as long as you need to otherwise."
I put my hand to my cheek. Hot. My face was very hot and my hands were clammy. I took the shoes from Rantaro and nodded. My words weren't much better than my face.
"Thanks, uh, I can do that. I mean, of course I will, I-I will definitely get your shoes back to you, yeah!"
Rantaro has this...stare. This knowing stare. He can figure someone out as quickly as anything else just about, and that's exactly what he was doing to me right now. He smiled and patted me on the shoulder, and I'm assuming deciding to spare me from embarrassment.
"Alright man. You should probably head back to your dorm or wherever you need to go right now, our free time is close to over."
All I could do was nod at him, quickly mumble more thanks to him, and left Rantaro and Kokichi's dorm quickly. I have no idea what that was about or what got into me all of a sudden, but my thought process at the moment wasn't very right. Suddenly, I thought Kokichi Ouma was cute and the image of him sleeping would never leave my head. Not for a while, anyway. The only thing I was sure of at that point was that I wasn't looking forward to free time tomorrow where Kokichi would inevitably show up whenever he pleased and tease me. It was probably just me being bi-curious, is all, that's definitely it. But, if that strange feeling he got while looking at Kokichi sleeping returned for a while, then he was in trouble. Big, big trouble.

A/N: I decided to change the schooling level to a college level instead of a high school level in all of the chapters, forgive me ;;
It seemed more fitting for the story. Thank you!
