Chapter three.........

The next morning I woke up to a knock on my door wondering who could possibly be up at 6 am I looked out the window and saw my best friends brother standing outside my house with flowers- hey I know this isn't a brand new surf board but it's better then you having nothing. I laughed - I'll be right there I shout out the window. I ran downstairs I opened up the door- hey Cody . Cody - I'm really sorry I shouldn't be yelling at you ash . I got ya roses hopefully it's not weird . Ashley- oh it's weird but uh thanks I appreciate it Cody - do you wanna go to the beach ? Ashley- will anybody else be there ? Cody - no uh I was hoping just us could spend the day together if it's okay with you . Ashley- yeah I'm definitely down let's not surf tho . Cody - after what happened yesterday i wouldn't find it safe to go surfing even tho it's day time now . Ashley- sunset would be nice to surf its risky tho . Cody - I agree okay come on let's hit the beach I've got a surprise for you !!!! .

Ashley- okay when ya say I've got a surprise for you and it doesn't involve surfing should I be worried? I ask him . Cody - you have nothing to worry about girl !!!!!! I burst out laughing- whatever lead the way Cody . We left my house and walk out towards the beach . Cody - this definitely isn't a date just so ya know. Ashley jokes - wow way to go ! Way to really kill the mood ! Cody laughed - you're messing with my feelings I can tell !

Ashley gets a text message from Sarah that reads - hey girl have you heard from my brother I've been trying to reach him all day and he hasn't been responding at all to me it's a bit odd because he always picks up his phone anyway search the beach for me bye

Cody - who's texting ya right now? Is it you're elementary school crush Alec he joked .

Ashley- I will shove you right into the ocean if you mention this crush ever again!!!

Cody laughs - I'm just messing with you ash but seriously who was texting you ?

Ashley laughed - it's you're sister she can't get a hold of you so ya should call her .

Cody - crap I forgot I shut my phone off so we could hang out together I'll call her later on but uh look to you're left there's a blanket and a picnic 🧺 with twisted tea for you . I know you're not a wine girl so I got ya twisted tea Brian told me you hate taste of wine .

Ashley raised an eyebrow at him - are ya serious you took tips from Brian to get my attention just for a day at the beach . Awe that's so sweet and thoughtful of you bro .

Cody - hey don't put me into the friends zone right now just because I did it to you !

Ashley- yup you definitely friend zoned me how's it feel for me to throw it back in your face not to mention the facts you think I'm in love with Alec when I'm not interested in him he's a tad bit into himself and really annoying when he's around girls he's weird !!!

Cody laughs - I definitely agree with ya 100 percent ash he's a tad bit into himself. Do ya think I'm like that or way different? Ashley- it's not a bad thing about Alec but uh you're definitely not like that you're more a funny type of guy but ya can be serious in a serious situation I feel like that's the difference between you guys . Cody - Alecs a cool person tho . Ashley- I have no clue why we're talking about him . Cody - I think he was the one that had a crush on ya if ya ask me it was a bit odd when he was having girls put up his hair into pig tails I wasn't in ya class but I remember our lunch conversation we had ya we're so angry at him ya slammed ya food down on the table and screamed and Nate and Brian and I were all like ash are ya good what's up with ya . I burst out laughing- I remember that ! I was so pissed at Alec because he thinks I was crushing on him when all we were was best friends and the whole school knew me of course they agreed with Alec ! It sucked life sucked . Cody - karma his pants fell down outside playing jump rope with you girls . Ashley- okay topic change that was funny but Emily was a fake bestie by the way . She tired getting me in trouble by the principal writing him a note how stupid are you to write a note to try and get me in trouble and it was about her boyfriend who didn't go to our school I had no clue who this guy was I stole nobody's boyfriend wtf !!!

Cody laughs - she seemed very none intelligent. That's kinda messed up and keep In ya mind two year olds would do something like that she stole my boyfriend mr. hale !!!!!!

Ashley burst into laughter drinks her twisted tea - that's so childish of her who does things like that to people and wth have I ever done to her to deserve being attacked ?

Cody - you're pretty maybe she got jealous of you I mean ya ditched her for us guys .

Ashley- you should be happy about that not sound depressed about it I shove him .

Cody - I am happy about it ash . You made a great choice picking ya friend group.

Ashley- our with the old and in with the new ! We both burst into laughter not knowing that a very angry looking Sarah was walking straight for us screaming- I'm glad to see ya two having fun on you're little date I'd hate to intrude here but my brother has been ignoring my calls and I asked ya Ashley to go look for him . Cody - I had this whole day planned just for ash and I to relax without any drama I picked her up at her house I'm so sorry I shut my phone off mom . I'm trying not to laugh at his comments back to her as I bite my lips and just stare at her . Sarah - moms making dinner .

Cody - yeah I know I'll be home in a bit let me hangout and enjoy my time here with Ashley. He smiles at me .

Ashley blushing red - we were uh just having a fun little picnic talking about elementary school drama days .

Sarah raised her eyebrows at us - okay lovebirds have a great date together and Cody don't miss dinner I don't care but moms kinda freaking out. She says as she's walking away from us . I then burst into laughter- mommy's mad at you !!! Lol . Act cooler !!!!

Cody burst into laughter- I'm having such a great time. Ashley- did you see the look on her face and she's all like I don't care but she walked onto the beach just to scream at ya till she saw I was with ya if ya were alone you'd so be toast !!!!!! Cody - cheers to that ! I laugh and hold up a glass yeah cheers Cody we clanked our glasses together we're so drunk and having a great time . Alec walked up behind us - hey lovebirds what's going on here ? Nate - having a cute little picnic. Brian - hey guys . Cody - hey boys what's up beach day or what . Ashley- uh hi guys what are you guys doing here ? Cody gets up - I should get back home if ya want to stay here you can he cleans up the picnic we had . I get up saying - yeah I'll see ya around bye thanks for the picnic. Nate wanna walk with him ? He's drunk . Nate - gotcha ash he chases after Cody hey dude wait for me I'll go with ya . Alec - that was just adorable. Ashley blushes - shut up and don't talk to me ! I shoved past him hey Brian walk with me back to my house plz . Brian - you don't wanna hang out with us ? Ashley- no maybe Tomorrow I'm kinda drunk . Brian - sure let's go . We ditched Alec . He sat down in the sand and watched us walk back to my beach house together. I had such a fun day with Cody that I can't say my friends ruined it at all and I think low key it was a date even though he says it's not . Guys clearly don't got the guts to say hey I like ya let's be more then friends uh not that I want a relationship with him .

Okey lets fast forward to the next day guys .......

I woke up with bed head and a text message from Cody - hey last night was fun .

I texted him back - yeah it was our friends crashed our beach day together tho .

Cody text me- they are the worst . We stop texting and I get outta bed and go make a pot of coffee to help wake me up . Maybe we should go surf today I think Sarah's mad tho .

I text Cody - hey was your sister mad at us for hanging out yesterday by the way ?

Cody - nope I just ate dinner in my room so I didn't have to face mom screaming at me for a half hour . I text him back- how nice not to eat dinner with you're mother when she wanted you to . Cody - I'm definitely not the favorite child outta Sarah and me !!!! .

Basically Cody and I kept texting till I hear a knock at my front door 🚪.

Things are going to heat up fast but who will it end up being with not her ex bf lol 😂.
