Chapter 12..............

The next morning my doorbell rings and I hop outta bed to answer it looking like a mess . I opened the door 🚪 to find Sarah standing at my door - good morning little miss ray of sunshine! We've gotta talk ! Ashley - Sarah why are you here this early ? She checked her cell phone . 8 am . Sarah - I'm coming in we need to talk she enters my house and I yawn shutting the door behind her saying - okay fine what's going on ? She walked to the kitchen to make coffee ☕️. Sarah - well I was pissed that I wasn't invited to girls day or night or whatever especially when you girls know I love wine but Cody came home without zoey and I asked him were his girlfriend was and he told me what happened! You two kissed ! And their relationship wasn't even real ! I always knew it ! I pour myself a cup of hot coffee- yeah we kissed . Sarah - okay I'm not mad anymore!!!! . When's the wedding? She says . Ashley chokes on her hot coffee. Sarah - ash ya okay ? . Ashley- can you just turn the news on please. Sure she says as she turns the news on . I saw another shark attack on tv as always. Wait Sarah says to me that looks like Cody ! She re winds it . My heart started racing- what do you mean Sarah ?! I'm freaked out . Sarah - I forgot he was surfing today at the beach and the guy who's on the beach it looks like Cody ! He's got blonde hair! Ashley shuts the hot coffee pot off and gets her keys - get in the car Sarah we need to make sure he's okay ! Sarah - ash we don't even know if it's him or not ! Calm down as long as their not saying our last name it's fine . Ashley - if they say winters I'm gonna panic! The news lady - it seems today there's a another shark attack in Hawaii this morning at 7: 45 am this surfer got attacked by what's said to believe a bull shark faint god it's not a great white shark his name we can't give out at the moment but his last name is winters have a nice evening guys and stay outta the ocean this means no surfing 🏄‍♀️. A helicopter is flying high above me as ya can see on the look out for sharks and everyone is out of the water safe and sound bye . I think I'm gonna die of a heart attack! Sarah says . Ashley - get in the car right now Sarah it's definitely you're brother ! I run out to the car and Sarah does the same as I speed off to the beach 🏖. When we got there we found it was Cody's cousin not him . But Cody was next to him trying to help the ambulance people out as best as he could . I tap him on the shoulder and say - Cody what happened are you okay? He got up and he hugged me- Ashley what are you doing here he's crying . Ashley- Sarah came over to my house and we saw the shark attack on the news we thought it was you what happened? Cody - we we're just surfing out of nowhere he got pulled under water by a shark it's a bull shark according to the EMT their taking him to the hospital right now look up !!! We all looked up and a helicopter 🚁 flys down and they put him in the helicopter 🚁. Sarah - I'll fly with him he's my cousin sir she told the EMT and cops . They agreed . I will see ya guys later on at the hospital and Cody call mom bye . Cody - bye thanks ash let's go . Come on I say holding his hand and we run back to my car 🚗. We left Cody's car behind his dad said he would come get it and bring it home . Then we drove to Cody's house 🏡. Cody - I'll be right back. He hops out and runs up the porch we're his moms crying and I watch them hug . Wow this is a sad day I'm now crying poor Cody . I'm guessing we're keeping his mother updated about his cousin Because he ran inside and rushed back outside quickly with some clothes in his hands and he hugged his mom once more before returning to the car and getting in . Okay let's go ! He speeds away in a panic mode . Ashley- Cody how did you out swim that shark ? I asked him worrying about his cousin but trying to get answers outta him even if it's bad time to ask that's just how I am . Cody - can we talk about it later ? I've got to get there as soon as possible I get it's a bull shark attack but do we really need to air lift him to the freakin hospital?! It was that bad I'm guessing. Ashley- hey everything will be okay . Cody - I hope so ash .

Ashley sighs - do you want me to come to the hospital with you ? I can . I just have to let savanna know is all so she's not freaked out if I come home later on at night . Cody - ya can go home if you wanna ash I'm not gonna be mad I appreciate you're concern about my cousin but I think if you came with me they wouldn't let you into the hospital room . We're also not dating and my cousin doesn't know you so that would be super awkward Ashley laughs - I understand Cody . Can you drop me off at home then ? You can take my car with you since it's a 911 emergency Just return it later on . Cody - thanks ash yes I'll take you home quickly and have ya car back as soon as possible I appreciate you a lot you're a huge help . Ashley - anything for you Cody . Cody drops me off at home and then leaves for the hospital 🏥. I text Sarah - hi how's your cousin doing ? Sarah - he's currently scared for his life but the EMT keeps telling him its gonna be okay I'll keep u updated ash I really gtg . Cody's on the way he said he's using you're car appreciate ya help a lot sis bye . Ashley walks up the front porch of her house and savanna slams the door open - mom ! I thought you got in a car accident I keep on hearing police cars ! I have no clue what's going on! Ashley - savanna I'm fine relax please. We're is jack at ? Savanna- he's sleeping in my bed and I've been trying to reach you but your phones been off so I had das try to get a hold of you and he says you're phones off I wanted to make sure that you're okay. Ashley - what ! I pulled out my phone and looked at my texts from Andrew- hey is everything okay ash you never have have you're phone off . Savanna called me freaking out...you're not home according to her text me back if ya read this message I'm also worried about ya . Savanna! I said walking into the house and savanna shut the door behind me- don't get mad at me when ya went missing all day long mom ! Dads right you never shut off ya phone. Ashley - sweetie sit down and let's talk I'll tell you what happened. Savanna sat down - fine but make it quick before my boyfriend wakes up . Ashley - don't sass me savanna. I was watching the news with my friend Sarah . Savanna- Sarah came here when I left ? She asked . I thought you guys didn't make up . Ashley - we did . Okay so listen we're watching the news and a shark attack was happening at a beach that Cody and I surf at and then Sarah flipped out because Cody was surfing there so we both thought it was him who got attacked so we drove there and it turned out it was Cody's cousin and they air lift him to the ER . I then decided to come back home with you and let Cody use the car . That's why I've been gone for half the day and Sarah's flying with him to the hospital. Savanna- oh wow I hope he's okay . Do ya think Sarah's mom knew that he went surfing ? Ashley - yeah I do because we went to their house so he could get him clothes and his cousin and his mom was crying and he was hugging her it was super sad . Savanna- wow that's sad . I'm gonna go wake my boyfriend up now so he can buy me ice cream at my favorite ice cream shop ! Thanks telling me mom . Ashley - no problem hun and great idea . I say laughing . Ring . Ring . Ring . Ex boyfriend calling . Ex boyfriend calling my phones saying over and over again as I roll my eyes in disgust- hello ? I picked up the call so he won't bug me when I'm sleeping tonight. Aren't you on base right now and can't talk ? .

Andrew- glad to know you're not dead mind telling me why you're phones been off all day ? Have you even been home today ? Savanna told me you're not home so explain!

Ashley burst into laughter- I'll have savanna tell ya the story even tho it's not any of you're business what I was doing just so ya know I was helping me friend with an 911 beach emergency bye hope you're having fun sleeping next to rats on the ground !!!! I hung up on him . Yup I'm still mad at him even if the rumors are fake about Andrew.
