Friendships forming
Love growing
Time passing
Maybe this was my story
I fell in love with my best friend
How we met
You led me borrow your pen
We continued talking
Each day and each night
Till I saw you
Staring back at me in the light
Could this be love?
Maybe
I really was in love
Time passed
And we were both getting old
But yet your actions were still bold
Till one night
I was sitting at the edge of the table
Yet I was still labeled
Your friend
And only
Your friend
I confessed as I drank my wine
"Will you become mine" i thought.
But no
Those words never
Not ever
But before I knew it
I've fallen deeper in love
As if I were still in a spell
That nobody can ever tell
A year passed
And one day
I appeared on your door
I was ready
Till you tell me your were getting married
As you said that
I left your house
Right when it began to rain
You chased after me
And I hugged you
At least you don't know why
Maybe this was my way of trying to say goodbye
At least between us
Your got to wear white
And so did she
As you said your vows
You both smiled
At least I get to see you smile
"You fake a smile... Yet your never happy"
Said the voice in my head
I'm happy
Let's say
I'm happy
Will you believe me?
Your married
Your happy
Another 3 years later
You have 3 kids
I know them
And they know me
They smile when they hear my name
But sadly
I left
I left you
I left you
I wanted to forget you
Forever
