5 Years Later

"Happy Birthday to You. Happy Birthday to You. Happy Birthday dear Lucas! Happy Birthday to You!"

"Happy Birthday baby," I said to Lucas as he blew out his candles.

"Happy Birthday buddy," Wrennly said.

I smiled at Wrennly and kissed his cheek.

"Mommy. I want cake," Lucas said.

"Does anybody else want cake?" I asked.

A good amount of people raised their hands.

"I need to go get more plates," I told Wrenly before walking off to the kitchen.

"Molly, can you get me some more plates?"

Molly was the maid, who Lucas adored.

"Of course, ma'am."

I sat down in one of the stools that sat in front of the kitchen island.

I placed my hand on my stomach and sighed, "Stop kicking Ellie, you're hurting mommy,"

The kicking suddenly stopped which made me smile. I couldn't wait to meet my little girl, she was going to be perfect.

Molly soon came back with the plates and placed them in front of me.

"Thanks," I said before slowly getting up.

"Molly, can you actually go and cut the cake for all of the guests? My wife needs to rest." Wrennly said as he entered the kitchen.

Molly nodded and left the kitchen.

"No, I'll do it," I told him.

Wrennly shook his head, "No, you're going upstairs to rest. You've had a long day. People will understand. Lucas knows that you're always tired, just rest."

I sighed, knowing he was right.

Wren kissed me on the forehead before moving out of the way so I could go upstairs.

Once I got upstairs, I passed my new baby's room.

I couldn't help but stop and look inside.

The room was blasting with pink. I knew my daughter would love it.

As I looked around the room, it reminded me of Lucas's room when he was a baby, except it was now for a girl.

Lucas was beginning to look much like his father, and I couldn't help but wonder whatever happened with Francis after the war...

It was bad and bloody. Luckily neither of them was hurt. Francis did lose though. Wren was right, he had much stronger group of people.

For months I hoped Francis would come and rescue me, that I could be able to escape Wrennly's wrath, with Lucas with me.

But after the dinner that Wren and I had, a friendship started to form, and soon I grew lonely, which only lead me into Wren's bed once again.

I thought I was stupid, but after talking with him, truly, talking with him. I almost saw everything in his perspective. And soon, relationship began. I filed for divorce with Francis, who signed the papers instantly, and I ended up marrying Wrennly.

And a few months ago, I found out I was pregnant.

Of course, Lucas doesn't know that Wren isn't his father. I was surprised when Francis didn't come after us after the war. He lost horribly and his entire gang went under.

Nothing has been said about them since.

I've only seen Francis once or twice after I left him. Only during the wars. It was quick glances, but he once told me that he wanted me to be happy, and if that meant it was with Wren, then so be it.

I understood when he left me, but he never came after Lucas. No wars were started after him, no trying to get in contact with him. Nothing...

I now sometimes fear Francis is dead, but no news has been spread around.

I haven't spoken to my father in years. Not after the war. He ended up teaming up with Francis, and thousands of his men died, and he soon hated me and everything I stood for.

Wren ended up doing more damage than just war with Francis. After his parents found out that he had started a war with Francis over me, they tried to stop him, which only ended up with the dead the next day.

Wrennly isn't the same person I met and became friends with. He is someone much different. It was clearly all an act. And the first year was filled with trying to become friends, trying to understand him.

I placed my hand on my stomach once again and smiled. I was happy I was pregnant, and I was happy I was with Wrennly, who made me extremely happy, but I would like to know what would've happened if Wren never came to get me.

I would still like to know if Francis is alive or not. But even Wren doesn't know...

Life didn't turn out like I thought it would. Not what so ever. I thought at first when I was presented with an arranged marriage, I would run away with Wren and be with him. But then I fell for Francis, then Wren came back to get me by starting a war with my husband.

Now, here I am. Years later, with someone, I hated and feared for awhile.

He treats Lucas like his own, and nobody questions it. Because they all believe that Lucas is his. Mia will be here soon, and I know Wren will adore her too.

I looked out the window at the large pool that sat in our backyard.

I sighed, "Where are you, Francis?"
