Luckily, Lucas wasn't crying.

Myself, I was about to...

I knew I was in trouble. Wrennly had gotten me, and my son.

I had no idea what to do. I'd usually go running to Francis when I was in trouble and couldn't handle the situation myself, but it's not like I could call him up and ask for help.

"I will admit, he is a cute little fucker." Wrennly said breaking the silence.

"Please Wren, take me, just don't hurt him," I begged.

Wren chuckled, "I won't hurt him, as long as you listen to me, and obey. Understood?"

I nodded.

"Now, you're going to make a call to that dear sweet husband of yours. Tell him that you've run away, with me. You've taken Lucas, and you never plan to come back. You realized that I am your true love and that there is no way in hell his gang would be able to beat mine. But, if you say one wrong thing, I'll cut one of his fingers off..."

Wren reached into his pocket and pulled out a burner phone and handed it to me.

I started to dial Francis's number, but Wrennly stopped me, "Don't do anything stupid Bev, or you'll regret it."

I gulped and continued to dial the last few numbers of his number.

I put the phone up to my ear as the phone began to ring.

"Hello?" answered Francis.

I wanted to scream and cry and beg for him to come and get us, but I couldn't risk Lucas's life.

I was praying in my mind that somehow Francis would know I was lying, that this isn't me.

"Francis, it's Beverly."

I could instantly feel the few tears that were already coming down my face, and I had already only said but 3 simple words.

"Bev, what the fuck? Where are you? I had men come and look for you, and they can't find you, nor Lucas. What is going on?"

He seemed worried, extremely worried.

But when I said it was me, I could almost feel the sense of relief in his voice.

"I left, I couldn't do it anymore. You weren't the one I loved. After speaking with wrennly, I had noticed that I was in love with him. So I took Lucas and ran away. I'm with Wren now, him and I will be together. I love him, and I know that you wouldn't have been able to beat him."

"Beverly, come on. Tell me this is some kind of sick joke,"

"I'm so sorry Francis, I have to go. But I just wanted to tell you to leave me alone. I'll be fine, and I'll make sure nothing ever happens to Lucas."

"Beverly, don't think I won't come after you. I'll come and get him, and you. You're my wife, and I don't believe a single word you're saying. Just be safe love, I'll be coming to get you soon..."

I pulled the phone away from my ear and sighed.

I was glad that he didn't believe me. It was clear that he knew something was wrong, and was coming to get me. But I also worried at the same time. What if he wasn't able to get me? What if a war started and he lost?

A million things could still go wrong, I could die, Lucas could die, Francis could die.

At this point I had no idea what Wrennly had in mind. I knew he wanted me, and he wasn't going to hurt me. But I knew if I betrayed him, he would hurt me, and most likely kill me. But first he would go after Lucas. I wasn't in fear of my life, I was in fear of something was to happen to Lucas.
