BARRY ALLEN took a deep breath as he tried to process everything that happened in the past not even twelve hours in which he came back from Flashpoint. He thought everything would return to normal if he let his arch-nemesis kill his mother who he saved and altered the timeline to spend his childhood with both parents for.

(Well, when you put it that way, it kinda sounds bad)

Not only was his best friend, Cisco, mad at him for not already changing the timeline to save his brother Dante from being killed, Barry came back to find that his lab was being shared. With a douchebag. An arrogant British jerk who apparently had been working with Barry for quite a few years now.

So Barry definitely went wrong somewhere with time travel. He made sure his past and present self never saw each other, he avoided the time wraiths, and he watched his mother die in front of him so Barry could get his memories and speed back.

(Yes, it definitely sounded bad)

Sure, Barry broke a few rules with time traveling and the butterfly effect was no joke, but how was Barry supposed to know that giving his mother a few more seconds to live would kill Dante's brother?

Trick question, he didn't. But that didn't make him feel any less guilty than he already was.

But at least one good thing (that Barry knew of) came from his mother dying right in front of his eyes. Barry had found out (right after finding out Dante was dead) that Peter was alive.

"Barry, why the hell are you smiling? Cisco's upset and was just reminded about his dead brother!"

"Say it again, Caitlin! What did you just say!"

"What? That Cisco is pissed at you? Cause that was a giv-"

"No, no, no! The other thing. The one about Peter!"

"That Peter's coming in today to test his powers again?"

"Peter? As in Peter Kingsley? 5'10 brown-haired boy? Brother of Aspen? Adopted by Lucy? That Peter?"

"Yes! Now why with all these weird questions?"

"Okay, just one more. Is he alive?"

"Well, I'm not wheeling in a dead body to test on."

Apparently, letting Barry's mother live for a few more seconds made it so that Peter's death from the Magnetar hadn't happened at all. Peter was okay. Peter was alive. Peter was alive.

And Barry couldn't be happier, especially since he had yet to see Lucy yet and wanted to see Peter for himself with the Rathaway finally happy. Happy and together. Happy and together and alive.

So, Barry returned to a place where the last time he was there, he delivered the news of a dead boy to his family. The Rathaway Family House (not the penthouse in the heart of Central City's business district).

He excitedly knocked on the door of Lucy's house, waiting for the door to open. And when it did, he saw the exact person he wanted to see.

"Lucy! I'm so glad to see you!" He greeted, happily as Lucy opened the door for him and invited him into the house.

"Barry? What are you doing? I thought you'd be at the lab, working with Julian?" Lucy asked.

Then another door opened in the house and Penny came running out of her room, "Did you say Julian?" She asked shyly, despite just running out of her room, frantically.
