Chapter 8.

Mina POV (not proof read)

As the night was getting closer people started leaving. According to BamBam it was 9pm and we were here since 7pm. BamBam was ready to leave with his friends and told me to go back home with Chaeyoung. Chaeyoung? SHIT- I forgot she was with me god dammit.  I looked around and saw no Chaeyoung in sight. I pulled out my phone to see a text from Chaeyoung. She left.. I screwed up so bad. She probably doesn't want to be my friend anymore! I walked out of skate park to see Chaeyoung sitting on a bench with another person? Wasn't Chaeyoung going to leave earlier? Who is she? I walked up to Chaeyoung and she noticed my presence. She looked at me and then back to the other girl. The other girl then gave Chaeyoung her number and a quick peck on the cheek. Then she left leaving Chaeyoung all flustered and blushy.

I felt my blood boiling. How could she just kiss Chaeyoung ?! Chaeyoung barely lets me hold her hand and here she is letting a stranger just uh! Why am I feeling this jealous? Chaeyoung means nothing to me. She's just a friend. Yea just a friend.

Chaeyoung POV

Well that was a bit- different? I was going to leave Mina but I knew BamBam wasn't gonna take her home. So I waited on a bench and this girl came up to me. We talked for a good 2 hours.  She got my mind off of Mina. Maybe I should move on. But it's hard to move on someone I loved for so long. You could love someone yet they love someone else who is better than you in many ways.

Mina sat next time and I really didn't want her to apologize. She wanted to spend time with him, she was happier with him. She will always be happy with him. Why can I not be him? Why do I always have to be the second choice.  From the corner of my eye I see Mina about to open her mouth so I cut her off.
"It's fine Mina. Don't worry." I say while looking at her and gave her a small smile. She then nods slowly guilt still written all over her face.

After a few minutes of uncomfortable silence she said "Chaeyoung who was that girl?" Which I replied with "To be honest, I don't know. She just saw me sitting on the bench and accompanied me for the 2 hours I spent waiting for you." She then nods her head and slowly interwines my hand with hers. I froze. Myoui Mina like the one and only Mina just held my hand-  While I was panicking in the inside she had asked me another question. "Did you get her name?" 

I gave her a small nod and she stared at me. She wants to know her name but why? "Her name was Jeon Somi. She also gave me her number! She's really pretty.." I say before standing up which causes our hands to no longer be interwined.

Mina POV

Jeon Somi. Sounds familiar but why? Wait why am I even overworking myself over this?! I don't even like Chaeyoung like that. I'm completely straight. Yep! Straight. I like boys and I like BamBam.

I wonder if Chaeyoung likes boys- I mean I shouldn't ask but the assignment is to get to know each other well. I know her somewhat but I don't think she has completely opened up to me...

I stand up and interwine our hands again. Why did it hurt when she let go? It was as if she was walking away from me. Like it was a final goodbye but for what? We start to walk in silence once again. It was comfortable I didn't feel the need to talk. I never feel this with BamBam. I always feel like I need to talk to him unless he won't like me.

As we started approaching my house I asked her the question I wanted to know the answer of. "Chaeyoung, please be honest with me but do you like girls?" Once I saw this I saw her freeze up and looked down, she does huh? After a few minutes she finally responds "I mean yea I like girls but I also like boys. I'm sorry if I am weird to you now." Aw why would she think she's weird. "It's fine Chaeyoung! I suppose you 100%. Remember one of my friends is lesbian." She lets out a little chuckle, I'm guessing Sana has talked to her? That snake aish! I have to tell her to stay away from this innocent cub!

We finally arrive to my house. I hugged her goodbye and told her to text me once she got home. I want to know if she got home safely. I saw my parents sitting in the living room.

"Who were you with Mina?" my father asked. "I was with Chaeyoung dad. No one else." His serious face turned into a small smile. My parents were fond over the younger girl after she came to our house for dinner. However, they did not like Bambam and they won't say why. Weird, right? My mom didn't buy it at all and sent me a glare which I shivered under.

"Myoui Mina, tell the truth now."  Oh lord. I then said "Well me and Chaeyoung were supposed to hang out but BamBam had distracted me. So i sorta ditched Chaeyoung for BamBam.. However, Chaeyoung just dropped me off cause she waited for me." My dad then said "Mina, you know we do not approve of that boy. Why would you disobey our orders and  see him? Especially when you have others plans?" With that question catching me off guard, I have no answer. My mom tells me to go upstairs and that we will talk about it tomorrow. 

I head to my room and change my clothes well Chaeyoung's clothes. It smells like her.. it smells like strawberries with a mix of rose and Freesia. I get into bed waiting for her message. Her message telling me she arrived home safely. Yet I see no message in sight. Are you ok Chaeyoung?

Third Person POV

The younger girl made it home. She had forgotten to message her crush because of Somi. Somi's messages had distracted her. It was as if Chaeyoung had found another girl to capture her heart with no permission granted. Yet it was still to early to decide whether or not she had moved on. As Chaeyoung stayed up late talking with Somi, Mina was wondering if her friend had arrived safely. Mina finally fell asleep. As Mina slept dreaming of her, Chaeyoung was talking to another girl. Oh how messy love is. How messy this love story will be because of Her.
