How You Met/Got To Know Her (V3 Girls)

Just like with the guys, I'll be treating the girls' fabricated backstories as if they actually happened

Kaede Akamatsu

Everyone loves a good friendship story between a jock and a nerd and that's what you and Kaede were.

While you weren't a "traditional" jock (instead of being into ball sports, you're a boxer), you were still popular because you always stuck up for people who were being picked on. While this didn't get you any brownie points with the bullies themselves, basically everyone else in the school admired you- especially Kaede.

Kaede was one of the many people you defended. She was picked on for being a piano prodigy by quite a few people (whom were probably jealous), and her tormenters proved to be more relentless than usual. Most of the time, some harsh, scathing words from you managed to chase off most bullies, but when it came to Kaede, you had to pick it up a notch by using your boxing moves to take down her very persistent bullies. You luckily never got suspended since the bullies were too scared to rat you out, but you wouldn't really have cared if they did. You were willing to take a suspension or two if it meant protecting others.

You became fast friends with Kaede after becoming her unofficial guardian angel for a while and you thought she had a crush on you, but wasn't a hundred percent sure if that was the case. You knew she's bisexual and didn't really care about gender when it came to dating, so you knew there was a chance she was attracted to you, but you were never good at determining when someone was flirting with you versus someone just being nice, so you decided to leave it alone.

You regretted that decision once you two were accepted into Hope's Peak.

When you got to your new school, you were fully prepared to unleash your Ultimate Boxer moves on any bullies that dared hurt your best friend (or anyone else), but got majorly distracted once Kaede made friends herself. Normally this wouldn't bother you, but there was a certain dark-haired detective that seemed to catch her fancy- and you didn't like that one bit. Every time you saw Kaede and Shuichi together, envy crept through every part of your body. You knew if you didn't tell her your true feelings soon, you may lose Kaede, so you decided it was time to confess.... the real problem is figuring out how to do that.

Maki Harukawa

In Maki's fabricated past, she had a close friend at the orphanage who she found out later died. You are the friend in this scenario, but you don't suffer an untimely death.

Your biological parents died in an accident when you were a baby and since you had no other known relatives, you were carted off to an orphanage. You spent the first decade of your life there, bonding with and taking care of the younger kids and making friends with the ones your age.

The closest friend you made there was a girl named Maki. You two were inseparable, sneaking away from your rooms at night to hang out, playing house with the younger kids, and being each other's shoulder to cry on if one of you was feeling sad. As the two of you got older, you began to think about moving in with her once the two of you aged out of the orphanage, but that dream would never come to fruition.

One day, you noticed a strange group of people hanging around the orphanage. At first, you thought they were looking to adopt one of the younger kids, but they were actually interested in you. You didn't really know why they wanted you, but after hearing an unpleasant conversation between the older woman who ran the orphanage and one of the men, you knew it wasn't for good reasons- they were looking for a "soldier" not a child.
