I don't think I've mentioned Mondo's brother in this book, but in this fic's universe, let's say Mondo's brother never actually died, but faked his death instead.

From what I could find, "Souchou" roughly translates to "secretary-general" in English, so that's what I'm going with (also anyone who knows where I got this title for Daiya from gets a gold star).

Comment here with any more requests!

How You Met/Got To Know Him

CW- Neglect

You were given a hard start to life. Born into an impoverished and neglectful home, you spent many years dreaming of running away. The day you actually did, it was on a whim and you had no plans or means of supporting yourself. As far as you knew, your parents never reported you as a runaway, so at one point you stopped worrying that you'd get captured by the police.

After nearly a month of dumpster diving and sleeping on park benches, you crossed paths with a pair of biker brothers, Daiya and Mondo Owada. You were convinced they were going to rob you or worse, but they didn't. Instead, they were friendly to you, asking if you were alright and why you were hanging out in a "shithole like this". You weren't sure if you could trust them at first, so you said you just ran away from home and nothing else. They took you under their wing, teaching you how to fend for your yourself. After you became interested in motorcycles like the ones they had, Daiya asked if you'd like to join their gang, The Crazy Diamonds. You agreed, since you were both wowed by their kindness and figured that joining them was the only way you could presently survive.

Being in a gang is not as glamorous as people might think, and you hoped one day you could eventually have a normal life. Unfortunately, your plans came to a screeching halt the day Daiya and Mondo had their famous bike race. When Mondo returned, he informed the gang that Daiya had died after getting hit by a truck.

Of course, you knew this wasn't true. You had overheard them talking the week before about how Daiya was growing tired of gang life and wanted to retire, and they made a plan for him to fake his death so he could make a clean break from the gang. You felt kind of surprised that he shared your feelings about wanting to have a normal life, but at the same time, this meant that you would probably never see him again.

Sure enough, Daiya disappeared the day he faked his death, Mondo taking the position of leader in his brother's absence. You considered following in Daiya's footsteps and faking your own death, but you assumed the others would find out, so you stayed. Emotions were at an all time high for you, and you began acting out, doing crazy things, your gang members encouraging you along the way. You began attracting a lot of attention from people outside of the gang for doing wacky stunts. From tightrope walking to handling rattlesnakes to jumping through literal hoops of fire, you did it all. Of course, you knew just how dangerous this stuff was, but your attention-starved brain craved the validation you got from performing insane antics, so you continued doing them.

That feeling didn't last forever, and when you began to grow tired of being a thrill-seeking, something happened that changed your life forever: you were scouted to join Hope's Peak Academy as the Ultimate Daredevil. All your hopes of having a normal life returned since going to this school would set you up for life, so you jumped at the chance to get your life back on track.

Mondo accompanied you to school after also being asked to join as the Ultimate Biker Gang Leader. He continued being a friend/brotherly figure to you, and you found yourself easing into life at Hope's Peak; that is, until a new transfer student arrived.
