Oikawa heard iwaizumi start to head up the stairs so he shoved the photo in his pocket
A faint knock could be heard
"You done? I have to get changed too y'know"
"Yep I'll be done in a sec!"
Oikawa yells back, finishing his original task so the other can also get ready

Oikawa devised a plan to get iwaizumi to talk about his family, and that plan wasn't thought out but what could go wrong
Oikawa planned to ask iwaizumi about the extra room, if that didn't work he would bring up the topic of ✨family✨
While walking down the sidewalk on their way to do god knows what Oikawa had tried to set his plan in motion
Except it didn't work
Iwaizumi brushes off both subjects or just flat out ignored the questions
"Cmonnnnn I don't know much about youuuuu, give me something to work withhhh" Oikawa groaned
"Fine I'll give you something, you have 3 questions"
"Any questions?"
"Not ones youve asked already" iwaizumi glared at me
"Fine fine ok I get it" he said raising his hands signaling he understands
"So, you live alone" Oikawa knew he had him now
"Ask another"
"WHAT?" Oikawa whipped his head to face iwaizumi but when he noticed the look on his face. He didn't question it
"Ok, what are your interests?"
"Hm.. " iwaizumi thought for a second
"Well cooking is fun, I guess, and i like the Godzilla movies. They're so cool! And I like agedashi tofu too! Oh and I used to collect bugs and-" iwaizumi began to rant which oikawa thought was super cute
Oikawa was half listening half admiring iwaizumi
They had reached their destination
The mall
They planned to look around see what they wanted to do and with the wide variety of things in the mall they wouldn't get too bored
Stepping on the escalator they made their was to the 2nd floor, where all the stores were
Pulling iwaizumi's hand they went into one oikawa picked out
"IWA-CHAN! Let me buy you some outfits!" Oikawa squealed
"No."
"Pleaaaaase, I'll pay" Oikawa taunted
"Fine but no promises I'll wear them" and with that they walked down some aisles
"Iwa-Chan!!!" Oikawa called him over
"What do you want"
"No go put this on" Oikawa said handing him the outfit pushing him too the changing rooms
Iwaizumi put on the outfit which he liked surprisingly and while walking out to show Oikawa someone tapped his shoulder
"Hey, I'm a buddy of your friend over there, mind of me and him have a chit chat?" The man said with a smile
"Uh sure I guess?" Iwaizumi replied walking back toward Oikawa who was looking at more outfits
Turning to face his friend Oikawa noticed the man and the color drained out of his face
Well I didn't without iwaizumi noticing
"Oh Oikawa wait I need you to help me with something come with me"
"S-sure" he said quietly
"Sorry we'll be back" iwaizumi said to the man pulling oikawas stiff body along with him, oikawa only stared at the man with wide eyes,Oikawas hand was grabbed as he was led toward the changing rooms
When they got there iwaizumi immediately questioned
"Is that the guy"
Oikawa nodded
"Ok you wait in this changing room, don't open it until I call you on your phone, I have to get out of this" he said motioning toward the outfit
"Ok... do you, do you still want the outfit?"
"That's not important... we can get it another time just not now. Also thank you for picking this out I really like it no go" iwaizumi teplied pushing him into the changing room
"I swear to god Oikawa, lock. The. Door. Don't come out till I call you ok?"
"O-ok"
And with that iwaizumi slipped into the changing room right next to the one Oikawa was in, just to be safe
"Oikawa~ open up" Oikawa heard a light knock on the door. He knew what iwaizumi had said, so he didn't move. He knew the voice too well
"Oikawa~ why didn't you come to school today. I missed you~" the voice cooed on the other side
Oikawa started to silently cry on the bench in the small room
He didn't feel safe so he picked up the phone and called iwaizumi
"I'm in the thing right next to yours I can hear him. Give me a second I'll figure something out.. ok you can trust me?"
"I know I-I-"
The banging on the door grew louder
And with that iwaizumi hung up
Oikawa heard the door next to him slam open and it slammed against his stall (thingie)
"What do you think your doing, someone is obviously occupying this stall you'll have to wait" a stern voice could be heard
"Why should I? I know him he's just hiding from me, something we've always done"
"Regardless leave. Him. Alone-"
And that's when the first punch was trown
The sound of something or someone being thrown on the stall door was loud.
And it scared oikawa
What if that were iwaizumi
What if my ignorance got him hurt
Oikawa found the stall door open to see iwaizumi sitting there with a bloody nose and the other guy with a black eye
The both stared at oikawa as he sobbed
"S-stop please d-don't Hurt h-him" Oikawa cries wiping his tears
"Sorry but that's not going to make anyone stop-"
Someone put the guy in a choke hole while another assisted iwaizumi
Oikawa recognized them
"MAKKI! MATTSUN!" He cried out
