I turned slowly at the voice and saw an older man who wasn't looking up because he was sitting down and reading a book. He had a bald head and a little stubble on his face. The only indications of him being old were the wrinkles around his eyes. "Hello Principal Conarvic," Selene said and my mouth dropped. The principal was wearing a pair of jeans, a white button down shirt, and white sneakers. How was he the principal?
"Don't be so surprised my dear. I consider that an insult," Principal Conarvic said before closing his book. I closed my mouth when his silver eyes locked on mine. "Now may I ask what you two were doing this time," he asked. "We were checking the vents sir. An earth user thought it would be funny to see how far a vine could take our homework without sunlight," Selene said on the spot.
"Oh well if that is all you may be on your way. I really like that excuse Selene. You are very original," he said while standing up. "Have a nice day Principal Conarvic," Selene said and she grabbed my hand. When we were outside of the library Selene sighed. "That was to close. If that was the disciplinarian we would have been dead," she said. "Is that the person who sends the guards after us," I asked.
"Yeah. She hates our kind and that's why we always have to be careful around her," Selene said before regaining her composure. "Now we're just going to head to our rooms like nothing happened," Selene said and turned to face me. "Don't screw this up because I cannot handle them giving me anymore drugs. They already think I'm unstable. Can you imagine that? Me unstable," Selene exclaimed and a few people stopped to look at us.
"Not in a million years Selene. Let's go," I said and quickly dragged her away. "What are you looking at? I didn't think the circus was in town but I sure see a lot of freaks," Selene said before I turned the corner. When we reached our room Selene wouldn't stop pacing. "What's wrong now," I asked while taking off my uniform. I wanted to wear something comfy.
"Oh it's nothing. I'm just on edge," she said and started to undress. I put on a pair of black stretch pants that could pass as regular black pants, black and white zebra flats, a white Hollister shirt, and a black hoodie. I brushed my hair a bit before putting my hood on. "Where are we going," Selene asked. She was wearing a silver skirt, a black hoodie, and silver wedges. "Not sure. I just feel like exploring," I said.
"Then exploring we shall go," Selene said shifting to her normal self. We walked out of our room and headed to the right. "We're heading toward the elementals section," Selene said and I looked around. It was really noisy down here and I saw a girl pulling Blaze out of a room. Blaze pushed the girl against the wall and started to kiss her. "Girlfriend," I asked. "Nope," Selene said while popping the p.
We kept walking and water was on the floor. "Let's just say this is where the parties are," Selene said and I laughed. "Sure they know how to make the roof burn," I joked and we both started to laugh. "What are you two doing down here," someone asked. I looked up and a Chinese girl with side bangs and a bun had her hands on her hips.
"Exploring. Who are you," I asked. "The name's Misty and I am a water user, death abettor. We don't like your kind around here so I think you should go before someone who's not so nice tries to kill you," Misty said. "Is that a threat or a promise," Selene said with a smirk. Misty narrowed her eyes and blew air in our direction. I was confused until a chain of water was around my neck and captured my wrists.
"What do you think now," Misty asked with a grin. The water started to tighten around my neck and I found it hard to breath. I closed my eyes and saw white mist surrounding me. "Let us help," they whispered. "Fine go," I said because it was getting harder for me to breathe. I heard Misty scream and opened my eyes.
