They were
back in the cave, just after they had finished breakfast. Y/n made sure to keep her distance from Dick.

"This is the burner phone he would call me on." She took the cell phone and put it in front of Bruce, "he hasn't called in two days." Two days prior being when she collected the poison.

Bruce frowned, looking at the burner as he attached it to a wire connected to the bat computer.

"What could you tell from his voice?" The computer screen lit up, as it began loading information from the burner. Y/n figured they wouldn't get anywhere since it was suppose to to untraceable.

"His voice was deep, aged. I guess he could be in his 40s, maybe late 30s." She shrugged, thinking about any details she could. "He had a very sophisticated tone." She scratched her head, sitting down. It frustrated her that she couldn't think about anything else.

Dick put a hand on her back, "take your time." He reassured her. She shivered under his touch.

Y/n rubbed her forehead, "he's clearly a wealthy man, since he was willing to pay so much..." she didn't finish, they both got the idea.

Bruce tapped his lap with his finger. He was clearly tuning everyone out as he thought. The screen then flashed, showing about six different numbers that had all called y/n's burner phone.

"These have area codes from Metropolis, Star City and even Gotham." He stated, y/n nodded.

"It would make sense for someone to call from different locations. If this guy is smart, these are probably phone booths." She suggested, which would mean the investigation would take much longer.

Bruce checked their locations— y/n was right. He grunted, checking through until he got to the last one.

"This one is from Uptown Gotham," he zoomed in a little closer, "just a block from the Willis Convention Center." Y/n didn't know why that was important but Dick stepped forward.

"So if he's a a rich, sophisticated guy he could've been in the convention center sometime that week." He stated as Bruce went forward, finding the different events the center hosted.

"Does that street have surveillance cameras, it looks like a busy street?" She suggested. Bruce quickly stopped what he was doing, going to check if y/n was right.

He slammed his fist down, angry.
"The phone booth is just out of frame." They all groaned silently, as they were no where closer to figuring anything out.

"Check the events, Bruce." Dick told him as he went back to the center event calendar.

"That whole week was booked for a private event and there isn't a digital copy of the guest list." Bruce explained. It felt like they just kept hitting dead ends. Y/n crossed her arms over her chest.

"Isn't there another way to find out who was there?" She questioned, her eyes stuck on the screen. She could also feel Dick looking at her, staring into her back. Bruce hummed, thinking about how they could get their hands on the information.

"I've got a plan." He exclaimed, as y/n and Dick leaned forward to hear what he had to say.
