" when you look at me, I can't help but feel a certain way and I like it. please never look away "

She could
only really use her hearing to figure out where she was. Y/n picked the sound of falling water and some sort of animal scratching around.Soon, her door was opened, by Dick she presumed as he dragged her across an unknown terrain.
When it came time to take off her blindfold, y/n's didn't have to adjust much to her surroundings. She found herself in a dark, cave-like room. There was a large computer in the middle and she held her breath as she looked down from the platform they were standing on.
"Is this the batcave?" Y/n, trying to stay lighthearted, asked. Dick didn't answer but she knew she was right. He brought her into a glass cage, a prison of sorts.
"Dick, it would be better if you just let me leave the country, seriously." She said, still not resisting. She needed to show Dick that she wasn't the villain she appeared to be.
Dick shook his head, locking the door. The glass prison had a bed, a toilet and a sink. Although, y/n chose to remain standing.
"I'm going to say it again; who are you?" Dick questioned, standing close to the glass that divided them, squinting his eyes. Y/n, crossed her arms over her chest, trying to comfort herself.
"Like I told you, I didn't lie about my name. I really am just an y/n." She stated but Dick let out a frustrated scream.
"Cut the crap! Why do you have pictures of me in your apartment?!" He paced, pushing his hair back, clearly upset. Y/n understood that it would be an anxious feeling to know that someone was watching you for all that time.
"Do you really want to know?" She asked, taking a step closer to the glass. Dick nodded and y/n sighed. "Someone hired me to kill you-- that's my job; I kill people." She admitted since her employer was probably on her way to the police or even the FBI as they spoke, ratting her out as punishment for an incomplete job.
"Who hired you?" His eyes widened, realizing there was a much bigger threat on his hands than just y/n. She looked down, disappointed,
"I don't know I'm sorry." She really did want to help, "I just get calls when people hire me then they wire money into my accounts once the job is done." She explained. Dick stood there with a finger over his lip.
"So was everything fake?" He sounded hurt, who wouldn't? Y/n sighed, shaking her head.
"It wasn't a coincidence we would keep running into each other, Dick." She she tilted her head, trying to get a better look at him in the dim lighting. He let out a rageful cry,
"don't say my name!" His voice cracked, "you don't get to say my name." Now, he stood right in front of the glass, pointing an accusing finger towards her. After all those weeks of watching him, emerging herself in his life she found it inevitable to have an emotional connection.
"You don't mean that, I know you felt something, even if it was just for a day." She thought about his to-do list, and a single tear ran down her cheek. "I saw the way you looked at me when I came out of the bathroom and you saw the scars on my back."
Dick was left breathless. His eyes kept darting back and forth from y/n's features. He looked at her hand, pressed against the glass and slowly placed his over hers.
"I want you to know, I couldn't go through with it. That's why I was going to leave." She confessed and Dick took a step back as it clicked.
"The soup?" He wondered and y/n nodded.
That's when another figure came out of the shadows. A caped man with the silhouette of a bat-- Batman. Y/n caught her breath, blinking in disbelief.
